It has been now almost six months of correspondance and penpals with Russian/ Ukranian girls...most of the end up asking you for money... in one way or another... visa,passport,ticket,sick mother,stollen handbag,car accident,love meeting in other country then they start the money issue.
you are wasting your time guys...and all of them..(most) are forming a gang and an organised system of scamming.
Also I beleive that there are agencies involved using the girls pictures.. and I can advise you in this by watching the language.
Anyway it is a waste of time and never believe in a girl who would ask money before meeting.. as this is how they look to western people having a lot of money.
