Concerning the IP address, the IP locator provided in internet are simple toys. with modems with multiple derivations, it's possible to have others IP address. Often the IP address located by the emails address like gmail, hotmail, yahoo and other come only of the place of the servor. With the modems with derivations, it's possible that the scammer send a letter from Yoskar-Ola by example and that the servor used is in Moscow. The IP locator on-line will detect only the servor of Moscow. Only the autorities, (brigade anti-fraud, police and other), have the material necessary for found the exact place of the sending of the message.

H/H, interesting comment, thanks for posting>> I was in correspondence recently with a 'pretty lady from Kazan'(she wrote me). When I checked her I.P. address--it was --Yoshkar-Ola//Mari-El--NOT Kazan! I replied saying "How is weather there in Yoshkar-Ola? And mentioning 'The main employment(Scamming)' in the region. Then asking 'her' what punishment she would recommend to thieving scammers?" --Strange-- no reply!!(Probably a perverse bloke stealing ladies photos and posting)--In the famous words of the Darleks--"Exterminate, exterminate!!"

I received some news recently of the french anti-scammers. Some arrests took place in area of Yoskar-Ola these last months. Apparently the Russian authorities start to be aware that these cretins can harm their images

It is highly unlikely that the chick in the photos is the actual scammer. As usual, it is just some Ivan using pictures of some hot babe that he downloaded off the internet.
