I'm a player here, playing on Marina after she tried to scam me. I've already told her that she's a scammer. But I still get her emails. So, I'm playing her game. Got her lingerie photos and waiting for her naked pics. I think that eventually I'll tell her that my car broke down on the way to the local WU location and ask her to send money to me to get the car fixed so that I can drive it to the WU location and so that I can send money to her. I'm sure that this is part of a big scam con-artist ring...an organized group.

I have a great idea! How about if we tell CNN about these big scams. That'll sure get the scammers to go into hiding for a while. If you can't get the police or FBI involved, then get the major news stations riled up about this. Sometimes its good to give the world attention about this to keep other men from falling victim to these con-artists.

Hey Roamer, yes, that is correct.--And,--I have travelled to Russia, Ukraine, and to Lithuania.-I DO know the correct charges for: visa, airfare, air taxes, etc. SO when these morons start asking for huge ammounts for visa etc, I know that they are conning.--Also, I have always advised them, --DO NOT USE A TRAVEL AGENT, BOOK EVERYTHING YOURSELF, TO SAVE A LOT OF MONEY. But--surprise, they ignore my advice, then try and sting me for huge sums!! In addition to this, I have a lady friend who lives in Russia. She has travelled to UK to visit me in the past. So I do know know all the necessary procedures etc for obtaining visas.

Hey ppantherp, I'm not sure if you realize the fact that with different areas of the world the internet providers are independent companies and when you check out the origins of said IP addresses, many will come up to the exact origin..Certain companies controll almost every transmission via their networks and also are connected to other networks that use the same IP companies for their connections...I agree with the fact that most scammers are working as a crime group, hence the affiliation with certain IP #s addresses, but what is even worse is when you try to track the IP's and come up with the "Worldwide network" answer and those are the real organized scammers....Because they don't want anyone to know their origins and that's the real bad thing...And to anyone who isn't sure about fees associated with the Airlines, just call them or e-mail them to find out the facts....If she e-mails you from the so called "airport", then you can e-mail her back with the facts about all traveling fees....You can search any airline and find out every single fact you need to know......Don't waste your money with your unsurity and feeling that you are gonna lose her if you don't send her the money.....

Hi James, NO, they are definitely NOT foreign exchange students, they ARE ALL SCAMMERS. ---- I posted details only to warn newcomers to this site in particular of the dangers.--- As Already stated, I had exposed 2 of these women.—One (Elena) had been corresponding with me for about 10 weeks..---I was not at first suspicious, she said she had a job offer to work in London at a well known retail clothes outlet. I became suspicious when she could not/did not tell me where her Russian aunt lived in London. Then I thought to check her IP address(S) –that was when I got a shock. She was a well known scammer!! --I wrote to her saying that I was puzzled because when I had phoned the stores HQ personnel department in London,--they had never heard of her. She then disappeared!—What I find particularly insidious about this sort of scam, is that these ‘ladies’ draw men in and become emotionally bonded then they apply the scam.—Although she had not got around to asking for money,--yet. Her last letter stated that her ‘aunt’ was on a long holiday in Africa and could not offer her accommodation in London after all. No doubt her next email would have been asking for financial help with accommodation etc!.—When I then received similar worded emails from different ladies, re ‘coming to your country etc’, --I checked their IP addresses and found—THEY WERE ALL SCAMMERS!!---If I can find any old emails, saved, I will post her and others IP addresses and aliases here. –The moral//lesson here to all is---CHECK ALL IP ADDDRESES—TRUST NO-ONE!! Tow months ago, I was in correspondence with about 10 different ladies. Then when I checked ALL their various IP addresses—from ALL their emails to me-- I found with a shock—that they were all scammers,--AND most were from the same origin//syndicate!!

Some advice from recent experience. Over recent months, there has been a spate of emails from 'ladies' saying-- "Hello, I am soon to arrive in your country to start work. I would love to meet with you. I have a work permit and visa already arranged. etc"----Fact is this is a con. They have not arranged any such visas. When I received a few of these, and after exposing 2 as a scam, I decided on a different stratedgy. The next one who wrote, --I replied---"Great, when are you arriving in USA?" When she replied "I am due to arrive in USA in 3 weeks, etc etc" I then replied "Oh that is such a shame, you see, I do NOT live in USA, but in UK. Anyway best of luck with your new job"--It felt great to wind them up a little in return!!

They do have there game tight, i thought if this was a scammer why would they write me with 2 page emails answering questions and talking about there life without asking for cash. I can tell it is not the same person either using this face because i have read some of your emails and they are not written by the person who tried to scam me. Anyway two days ago. 11.15.07 This bitch is suppose to come to America to become a pediatrician and she got into a car accident on the way to get ticket to america. At worst, while it may not contribute to the entire shutdown of their scamming operations, I believe it might at least send a significant shock through their system. And who knows, I might even be able to get my cash back. My other less-monumental thought was basically one of simply just getting a little piece of mind. For this, I was thinking of just making up a transfer reference number and sending her an email saying that I'd made the transfer. This way, she would go to WU expecting this sucker has once again wired her funds sight-unseen, only to walk out with zilch in her pocket. I'm thinking about reaching out to WU to see what their thoughts are on how the potential "sting" might work out but I'm not optimistic. I guess I was just looking for your opinions. Matt, As has already been said. You will learn a lot from most people posting comments here. We have all been caught at least once. I sent $75 a few years ago. She thanked me, then after a few weeks wrote to say that she was to marry her doctor--who had been treating her flu. Which would have been Totally illegal here in UK!!) Personally, I used to get at least 10 emails a week from 'women'. Now they have dropped to about 2. BUT when I check each one (IP addresses) out via Google, they are mostly from the ONE source!! A syndicate who conspire to rob men blind! I personally do not have the time to 'play along' with these morons. I generally just reply with the copied and pasted details of their listed scams ID's One of the worst sites is DateMeFree--to be avaoided, 99% scammers (you note how positive I am--I left 1% as a possible genuine?!)

Yeah James, it's crazy. But, I suppose if I was as heartless as these guys are, I would try and target the exact same thing that people count on most too. What makes it more difficult to accept is that they spend so much goddamn time trying to make you believe it. I mean, honestly, that's why I kept having such doubts, even till the bitter end. I just couldn't imagine that someone would put that much time and effort into a scam. Sh*t, I barely have the time to do anything I seriously enjoy during the day and these clowns are emailing, long detailed letters about current events, weather and alleged relationships with their parents. Don't get me wrong, I know now that these things are all pre-formatted but someone took the time to at least write it up the first time and then they go that "extra mile" to enter your name in the field and improvise at least a sentence or two to throw you off even slightly. Thanks James, I appreciate the kind words. I'm not gonna sit here and try and paint myself as this pathetic figure but relationships are tough enough to build if are not the club and bar type. Reality is, I got duped by someone simply capitalizing on one of the most basic of human, and specifically male, needs....desire for recognition and affection. These girls (or perhaps they're guys! WHO KNOWS!) know exactly what they're doing and, while they obviously have no honed their craft to such a point where it is exempt from error, they are clearly throwing the fishing line out there to so many that they're bound to get at least one like me. One who was just simply blinded. But you're right, I've certainly learned a very valuable lesson these last few days and one that I'll never forget as long as I live. I just hope that my result can help any and all others that are beng strung along by this b*tch to stop it before it's too late.

Yeah, I hear ya Tom. You have no idea how stupid I felt after sending the money only yesterday and then having the piece of mind to finally do the all-too-late research today. I swear, my heart was beating a mile a minute when I plugged "her" email address in Google. I was praying nothing would come up and just about died when this site popped up with every picture she has been sending me for the last 2 months. What kills me is that it didn't take her more than a handful of mails before she herself started talking about "knowing all about internet dishonesty." Gentlemen, I am truly embarrassed writing this on here but I'll be damned if I'm going to contribute to this continuing with some other unsuspecting victim. I too was contacted by this "Marina" about 2 months or so ago. Details of my email traffic mirror what many of you have already stated in your comments below. I also received the email giving the 411 on this "accident" caused by some kid that just so happened to bail out and never be found. Long story short, I sent her money. I know that I am absolutely almost entirely at fault here because I was too blinded by some fake chick pretending to show me some affection. So, here I am today, honestly sick to my stomach because despite every bone in my body telling me this was bullsh*t and my late decision to do more in-depth research, I'm out money that shouldn't have left my pocket. Like I said though, it was dumb, I'm a complete fool for doing it, but if I can help someone else who's gotten or is currently getting roped in by this b*tch, that's what I wanna do.
