No webcam. I had that idea already but shes in a internet cafe in a pretty poor country and says they havent got that facility there anyway. Yup! I know what you mean there. Actually I was talking to the lady on this page through that site! The other one seems much better, prefers online chat to emails (so no sending to multiple addresses) wants my phone number to ring me but hasnt got one I can ring her on (so no crazy tarriff phone charges) and I know enough about the things she claims to be into to know she really IS into them. But all the same if it keeps heading towards a meeting I will probably get her checked out. So yes I will be taking your advice there. Thanks.

Yes there are!!! That is why I go to all of the dating sites that I can find and look at every single woman who is there....I see how many are known scammers and also If I suspect that one is a scammer then I try to do a check on her....Right now I'm on match-ru and I have seen only 5-6 scammers that I know of on about 4500 ladies so far and there are about 19,000 different ones posted on that site.......So I'd reccommend that site as one that is trying to police their own site...

I had a thought about making things more tricky for scammers... If sites were asked to always insist on more than one picture and wearing different clothes each time it would stop people who just take pics of nice looking ladies in the street from using the pictures. Also if the photos on the scam site were classified into age brackets, hair colour eye colour etc it would be easier to check on ladies? Is there software that can analise a picture in terms of its percentages of different colours? Then dating sites could check or submit for a check their candidates so any photos used by scammers would show up. Just a thought

Damn, I just realized that we all together are much more enjoyable and have more advice than "Dear Abby"!!!!This is the longest that we have ever gone being completely serious!!WOW....Womble, I don't remember if I mentioned the fact that the "Gabrelyan" has an address that more than enough ladies use as their address.....If you really want to learn more about their styles of writing and see all the similarities with them and all sorts of other things go to that scammerlist.com site and start with the first scammer and then read the next and the next....You will see that they all have the same "Rythym" in their letters that they purportedly have written....Doing that is how I can find out so damn much on scammers....Plus you will come to see more than what you want to see in their aliases and different e-mail addresses.......Just try it for a fewhours, and you will see what we all know......It'll open up you eyes and really educate you quick.....Have a great weekend all...

OK Boys and girls - what do we have here. Womble - if you have developed feelings for her via e-mails, then see if you an convince her to use one of the webcams at the cafe and chat with you online. All she has to do, as well as you is create a Yahoo address and go from there. Just about all internet cafes have Yahoo Instant Messaging on their systems. Second, if the discussion of meeting arises; tell her you would be happy to fly to her city. If she is real, you will need to do this anyway. Finally, if you really want to check her out, give her e-mail address and the site you met her on to Roamer. I can bait and hook any scammer out there. If she is a scammeer, she will be writing me within a couple of days. And to your question as to whether you can meet anyone on these sites; it is all a matter of getting lucky. I have met a few of them from all over the world. So, good luck.

Womble - I've been reading the running dialogue here and have this to add......you can run a check of her letter content to see if she is just running a cut and paste operation. Take a line from one of her earlier letters to you and put it in "" on Google and see what pops up. Many of these scammers use cut and paste letters because writing something original is too time consuming.

Hi BP! When Sir is used it is usually in a very formal situation. Maybe you would call your boss sir or your teacher but not so much these days. You would never call your friends sir unless its a joke. I didnt reply to the latest email from this lady as Ive become tired of the game lately. I cant really post her on here yet either because she still didnt ask for anything at all. I suspect the Vladimir guy isnt the actual person who emails me but rather someone in his team, possibly even the lady in the picture. But I do know it is a scam still. Im up to about 15-20 pictures sent of this lady now which is what makes me think she might be the writer. Still a scammer though of course. Hey Womble, If it was me, I would keep them on the line as long as possible......As long as you are aware of them, and keep them hanging on, it's one way to keep them wasting their time, instead of trying to ruin someone elses life....I believe that as long as they are writing you they won't have that opportunity to scam someone from money...Even make up things like they do!!Tell them that it might be possible to send them some money next week, then next week comes and you write saying your transmission went and it'll take another week or so...Finding a dating site isn't all that difficult, but finding one that's honest is different....For the past year and a half, I have been logging onto various dating sites and looking at all photos....I also have been to the majority of antiscam and blacklist sites...I carefully look at all the scammers,and then when I'm on a dating site, I can report to others about her being on a blacklist...Even if the lady you meet ends up being a scammer, as long as you don't send her money,and you report her to blacklists and keep her going, then you have made a huge contribution to all men....Right now I am looking at a site called match-ru.com and there are over 19,000 different women posted there.....I am up to page 110 and there are 50 women on each page......So far I have found only about 2 or 3 scammers that I've recognized, and about 3-4 men in drag....Yes they go on dating sites too....Just stay with us and hang in there sir.....The right one will appear to you someday...Just have faith!! Go to www.anti-scam.org/cgi-bin/black_list.cgi?a=c&p=1 All the #s go backwards from the first page of pictures....When you type that in you will be on the 1st page and there are new additions almost daily......That's where most of all comment...Go ahead and try it , you'll see what I'm talking about..Then you can keep on going to all the various pages to read all of our comments....Hope that helps you sir....Also ask BP to help with the addresses...He's real good with those...

Hello! I think I just got somewhere with that. Its to an address in Moscow under a blokes name! IP addresses are not relayed in any way are they? So this is where it was actually sent from? I tried another friend IP and it came back as a generic yahoo thing and didnt give any more details than that. This was a fun piece of detective work thanks. Whats Benin in West Africa like for scammers? I just got a new contact there... Hehe!!!

Womble, this was sent to me this morning from one of our friends here: It depends on which of these that you are running...If you have Hotmail----upper right, see options & click on it & go to mail to display settings.....Where it says message headers, change to advanced, then click ok and you'll see the headers.......If you have yahoo------open email & scroll to bottom & click full headers 7 they appear......If you have Gmail-----open mail & look for more options& go to options that pop up & click show original.......For fastmail---on the same line as the subjecton right, see full header & click it.... For msn7.5 open inbox email& press alt & enter together......On outlook express---right click message & choose properties & click details...... All of these were e-mailed to me, because I am a dummy with certain things....I just know where to find them with my system, and had no idea what you are using.....If any of these fail to be of use to you, you can , if I'm not mistaken, go to google and write what you need to find out.....That might work too....All of these others are all new to me, because my system just shows them all the time..

Yes Im getting better at looking out for copy and paste. Its well done though if that is what it is. The descriptions of what shes been up to always tally perfectly with the weather reports for her region and her story is always consistant with previous letters. Feelings running deeper? Yes youre probably right. I think the alarm bells rang a bit on the late side and Im a heart on the sleeve type of guy. After weeks of feeling elated it is a bit of a tug. My Dad is prety well really as they got to it early and I think its pretty much the cancer to have if youre going to have one at all. Thanks for your concern.

I did something slightly cunning. I sort of introduced an amnesty where I said some stuff about myself leaving it on a 'your turn' type of note. At very least it will require she writes a new email rather than a copied one. Also I can act all hurt ifshe doesnt come up with something good or ignores it. Also I mentioned my father has cancer (true but prostate so under control) so if she comes back with a 'my grans very ill send money scenario I can be all sympathetic without sending any cash. Im also going to ask for increasingly tricky pictures to make her/him work for it. Ive also decided to say that she understands men very well which is unusual in a woman and more common in gay men! I laughed when I thought of that one. Its for in case its a guy writing and its my way of taking a subtle shot - well sort of! It tickled my humour anyway. Id of course still love her to be real though... Sad eh?

Lots of sense! Are all you guys carrying a heavy heart for some reason or another? I had a relationship with a lovely lady since college but just couldnt get the right feeling. I had been in love before and knew what it should feel like. I just couldnt get to that feeling. I wanted to but no. Our paths separated now as I still want her to get all those things women want and I didnt feel right to give.Then I woke up one day and I was 37! The whole internet dating thing came along by accident and she said all the right things to get me hooked on her. I know alot of that is made up in my head which is why if this is all a scam (and yes Im pretty sure it is)I will be ok. It wouldnt surprise me if these are written by guys. They probably know better what we need to hear. Im kind of playing it like a game now. I asked to see a picture of her mother. I will be interested to see if theres any resemblance... Thanks

I right clicked a mail and went to properties and a huge number came up divided into sections with _ symbols rather than dots. Is it amongst that lot somewhere? I think the sting is pretty soon as the latest email was really extraordinarily sweet and there was mention of going to see the grandmother....

Womble, we have a friend from Australia who met his bride through a dating site and he is happily married now..... Just ask her the name of the internet cafe.....It has to have a name...Ask her if the food is any good there too...That way it will seem like you are just trying to start a simple conversation with her.....Ask her the street name and if there are any other great places to go on that street.....You should find them with all of the crap that we all don't understand and all those miscellaneous numbers...Log onto this page, it'll give you an idea of what to look for--http://uatele.com/who/?request=195.189.45.0/24 I think you should also bookmark that page, as it will come in handy someday....That way when you see the IP#s all you have to do is go to that page and insert the new numbers, and it will tell you a few things.....Have a great weekend......I'm never here on weekends, so you can ask BP or others and they will be more than happy to help you out....

Its supposedly from an internet cafe. This has turned into much more than I ever suspected. I wasnt even looking to find anyone, especially not from Russia (not that I have anything against Russians) Im 37 and single and sometimes I just like to look at dating sites to see that there are other people in the same boat. I bookmarked this lady because she looked and sounded nice and the next thing I know I got an email!!! I think I might stick to sites for my own country in future? Damn, I just spent 15 minutes writing some important thing for Womble....It seems to have gotten lost in the Netherworld....Anyway.....Womble, I will try to explain a few things to you and assist with some valuable information so that you won't waste your time getting deceived by those scammers.....Also the word is c y n i c a l...OK, back to helping you out...When you are in contact with her via e-mail, you will see her IP#s....By going to whois.com and typing in those #s, it will tell you all sorts of things...It will tell you where it originated from approximately.....There are also other sites that can do the same thing....You can also google her e-mail address and come up with things that way.If you haave a physical address or phone # you can check out white pages .com and do reverse checks too...You can google her address or phone # and see that way...When you meet a lady online, find out about where she lives, and not from her....Use google or wikipedia and find out about restaraunts and nightclubs and attractions and theatres and nearby cities etc., etc.,etc...Remember that your knowledge will only help you out, if she is a legitimate lady....When we all go out on dates, we all exchange our ideas and wants and desires and friends etc.,,so it is no different online...We all want to learn about each other to see if we are compatable with one another......Asking questions will only benefit your possible relations...Put yourself in the others shoes, when someone asks questions, it shows that they have an interest in what you do and where you live etc....Now if I keep evading simple questions or can't give you an answer, that should send out a red flag to you.... Don't forget, that you know better about where you live than anyone else...If I wanted to go out to eat in your neighborhood, I would want to find the good places to eat....Say, I wanted to have fish and chips, well I bet you would send me to your favorite place....Maybe I want some "bangers and mash" same thing.....Again we'd go to your favorite place.....If you have a little knowledge of where she is from, then it's harder to scam you...Ask her about the clubs in her area and then research them to find out more about it...A woman will more than likely be more impressed with you, because you are showing them that you are listening to them and are interested in the same things.........I hope that you can see where I am coming from with what I'm telling you....Not all dating sites are full of scammers....Even if they are, it is upon your shoulders to not get deceived......The only one to blame is you if that happens.....Remember that knowledge is a very powerful tool!!! If you need to find things out just ask people here.....We all hate more than anything else, is to see someone else get scammed...Happy hunting for your mate, Mate!!

Thanks guys! Are most of the ladies on these sites dodgy or did I just get unlucky? Some of the emails are definitely not a copied job but I can see how big chunks of others might be. Well if she hasn't ask for money yet,that probably well be coming soon.For now,just play her and what ever you do buddy,don't send any money.Like my friend John said,their are a lot of different blacklist on the internet.It might be in your interest to check them out and you might come up with something on the her or the person that is behind this scam.If your not sure were to look for these sites,just type in "Russian scammers and blacklist" it will direct you to names of different blacklist.Good luck!In the mean time,I will do some looking around for you.

Just spent a while on Delphi and no sign yet...Loads more to check. In some of the photos she has had a (bad) lip job and others not, suggesting its more likey they were bought rather than stolen? Probably not,the photo's are probably stolen.The name is been used by these criminals to have money picked up at a Western Union or bank account and the person is paid for their service. The knucklehead behind this scam is probably some big ugly Boris.Wombie can you post your letter that you recieve from this one and we can take it from their.I know I seen some of the photo's posted,but not sure were on delphi.I will have to find the name.I will keep you posted.I live in Brazil.Talk to you later.
