You cannot use a credit card or a bank card in the ukraine.. at least not in the cities off the beaten path..maybe you can in Kiev. I was in Sumy and the only thing you could use was your credit card for was to withdraw cash from the ATM's. A bank card was totally useless. All transactions were in cash ONLY. Had to get a fresh supply of Grivna's daily...if you could find an ATM that had any money in it.

Credit card debt? I have to wonder if this scammer is really in Russia. Perhaps, American scammers have picked up on the Russian Bride craze and are trying to cash in on it? I know that in East Europe, Credit cards are not that prevalent; at least as far as I saw.
