To Brad: I am glad about your work. I too was scammed once by a girl from Africa. I reported her to the law enforcement but nothing has been done since. The problem is, they cant arrest these guys or even locate their where about in their countries.

To "Dr. Ben" I did some research in the Alexandra area. Her dad is supposedly a fruit and vegetable farmer in the Otago area. I contacted most of the farming organizations in that area and none of them had heard of the farmer by the name that "Safia Musah" gave me for her dad. Good to see I am having an effect here. Safia and Idi have already reported you two to international law enforcement. I'm not done yet.

I thought she was scamming me and got furious. I then told her I was coming to visit her, she lived in the Southern Island on NZ in the city of Alexandra. Its a nice place. To my surprise Safia was who she said she was and I couldnt believe it as I was scared I was scammed, It was a relieve to meet her. She gave me my money back which I sent for her plane ticket. I insisted she keep it. Her father is a farmer and a nice man. We had fun but the chemistry of being in a long term relationship was not there. I am surprise to be reading all these about Safia and believe you maybe got the wrong Safia who also has a brother called Idi.She is a nice woman with values.

Did anyond see on Friday night the show Dateline??? It showed them raiding a scammers "HQ" in Nigeria...But the scams they were after were the ones for the fake lotteries.....There was not one single woman depicted in their raid.....And that is probably the rule of thumb..... All scams originated in Africa, are all done by men, not women!!!

Seems the jerk quota is up sharply this weekend with some of the comments. Sorry about your loss, Brad. You must be new to this internet scam business. Hopefully now you will have a keener sense of what to look out for. For starters, avoid Africa at all costs. There are no white women stranded there. And if she is black and claims to be from the US and lost her passport, just look at the way she writes. You will see that these people didn't study English that closely. Most of these hits you get from African nations are being sent by males. Just type "Nigerian 419 scam" into Google. Your eyes will open quite wide.

A little bit more detail: Met this person, Safia Musah, at +233243354329 on match.com as mus654. She has used the e-mail addresses preetypeep1@myway.com, preetypeep2@myway.com, and preetypeep2@hotmail.com. Safia is working with a person by the name of Christoph Musah aka Idi at idi543@yahoo.co.nz, who she calls her brother. She portrayed herself as a New Zealander. Said she was in Ghana with her dad a farmer on a Commonwealth mission between New Zealand and Ghana. After more than a month of communications said she wanted to visit me, but needed help with the airfare, BTA, and travel insurance. She supposedly found a cheap airfare with a "Mr. Aminu Salifu of Gold Coast Travelling Services, at +233275335990 and gctscustomerservice@mailservice.ms"who e-mailed me too each time Safia Musah supposedly paid my wires toward the airfare ticket and travel insurance. I sent Safia Musah four (4) Western Union wires all picked up in Accra, Ghana at Western Union sites. Safia Musah was suppose to fly to here from Accra, Ghana, on Dec. 8th, but after the last wire of 12/07/06, Safia said she could not make the flight. We had agreed in an MSN Chat on 12/06/06 that if something went wrong, Safia would wire the funds of my last wire back to me. After I asked for that on 12/08/06 I have not heard from Safia Musah since. I am also not getting any response from the "travel agent, Mr. Aminu Salifu." I did a google search on Safia Musah about a month ago and found nothing wrong. On Dec.8th I did another search on Safia Musah and found the following that began to be reported on the Internet on 11/27/06 http://www.anti-scam.org/scammer/1915-3-1.html. My goal here is to put a stop to what this person is doing more so than getting my money back. These people can be caught, at a minimum their lives are about to become much more difficult.
