I found another avenue.... I sent all the money transfer documents to the Russian tax authorities. You can rip off guys... she can payoff the police. But, don't mess with the tax man.... he wants his pound of flesh.

Stay on top of the authorities and see this through. But I am sure the translator must of had some kind of idea that this was some kind of extortion scam. I think this could have turned out uglier for you. Glad to know you got home in one piece.

From my experiences in Russia it is a rare event to not have some type of uniform within visual range - and hence within calling distance. Even if the police / militia man does not understand English, and he probably will not, a desperate plea for help would assure that reinforcements would be called and that absolutely no one would be allowed to go free until the entire situation was cleared up the their satisfaction.

This probably one of the most bold and most dangerous scams I have ever seen posted. In what way did you pay these guys?? CASH?? and you still walked away?? Do you really think you have heard the last of them..the girl knows a lot of information about you by now I would imagine. You took a very grave chance my friend and did what your concience told you to do. I think are very lucky indeed. The time to split and find help would have been when the guy sat down at the booth with her..but..??

yes james it is true! i have actually verified this info myself. guys use their girlfriends pics- with their consant and both try to get as much as they can. again not all of them do this but there are alot that have started doing this. be careful because you may think your writing to olga but you could be giving Boris a heart on with your email!
