well she must be pretty damn proficient in english. i was paying for a few english lessons here and there up until 02/08 when i found out here true colors. the nicebride.com people may be nice, but they turned a blind eye to this when i confronted them.

I have met Irina Pashagina in person in Yoshkar-Ola. I have been paying for english lessons and translation since September 2007 (now May 2008). I have the same pictures plus some I took in person. She gave me a phone # but it has never worked. I've written the agency about her to see if they could explain. I've sent her some flowers, Christmas gifts, letters and 200 emails traded between her and me. She now says she went to Denmark to visit her sister and said she would call but no call yet. I checked on schooling for her child here in USA and she seemed very interested. She is very smooth if she is a fake. Yes, I'm having a hard time admitting that I was taken advantage of here. I always thought it may be a lie, but hoping differently. So I may be the biggest fool on this site. Live and learn.

Wayne. What a load of cwap! So you go to her country. You meet her. She takes you out to all the good spots. (Obvously you are paying). Passes hints about an engagement ring that is worth let us say $500 (which to us is not much but to them is a fair amount). Then you marry her. She comes over. She knows minimum time to get a permanent visa. Then she takes you to the cleaners. Personally speaking, I would make it a law that any foreign national who gets married once divorced should return to her country.

QUIT SENDING MONEY TO THESE DAMN PEOPLE. You are just asking for problems. Offer to go to her country. When she does not answer you, or makes up some bullshit excuse, you will know it is a scam.

Oh Alan, first clue in her letter, she is in love with, yet has not even met you. Bang your head against the wall and rattle them thar brain cells. Second clue, asks for money. Sorry about your $450 loss, but, it could have been much worse.

Had one write to me who said was from Yoshkar Ola. Said she was a policewoman. My reply to her was to go and catch all the scammers in her city coz we are now sick of them. Funny. She never wrote back. Then again, funnier still, I found her pictures on another scammer site. LOL.

Freddyboy: Just reading her letter I see the same patterns that other scammers have used...the bank clerk who informs her about Western Union, the WTCN 10 digit, etc. But what really rang my bell was her address - Yoshkar-Ola. That's scam central.

So let me try and understand this Alan. You already sent her $450 for the visa but nothing for airfare yet. Has she asked for airfare yet?? [although that would be an obvious next step]. However somehow you have found out there is problems with the internet cafe she contacts you from and the indications are you will lose touch with her?? I'm not sure what the scam is yet? The visa money?? The money for airfare she hasn't asked for yet?? Or is it the internet cafe thing?? Perhaps you could clear some of this up for this poor old canuck..I am a little confused about exactly what the problem is.
