i knew my grandfather was a lroalndd of a pub because of family stories . and when we found a postcard amongst the old photos of the lion we asumed it had to be the lion till i checked and found it was spread eagle inn . but if they also had a newsagent that would make sence as to the postcard maybe . intresting anyway thank you for letting me know . ian

hi ive just found out my great great grand father was the land lord of the the speard eagle inn 83 high street . buckden shows him and his family there on the 1901 census his name was peter macleod and wife emma with there children and her mother ann watkins . i thought they had the the lion hotel . anybody know anything . ann would have been 82 in 1901 my guess is shes buried local . i would love to pay my respects .

I had been talking to this girl for about 2 months, she hadn't asked me for money within that time ,because i found out what she was doing from checking this site , ( glad i did) i knew something was up when she kept sending the same letters written exactly the same word for word. (witch would be impossible unless she was saving them and sending the same letters out to everyone, which she is ) beware...
