Money for english lessons
# Details: The classical English lesson scam was being used despite adequate spoken English on the telephone.
# Date: 2007-09-24
The request for $400 was made on the basis of improving communication. Originally, I was asked to send the funds to:
Beneficiary ACC.No LUG 26256974331206 USD
Name KARINA FOMINA
Address: Account with institution S.W.I.F.T.-BIC: FUIB UA 2X
FIRST UKRAINIAN INTERNATIONAL BANK
2-A UNIVERSITETSKAYA STR.,DONETSK,83000 UKRAINE
I asked if I could send the funds directly to Oksana and received a positive reply. (Of course!) The name used for this purpose was "Oksana Treexubchak."
Oksana claims to be a law teacher at the Lugansk National East Ukrainian University. (It is a pity that she couldn't even get the name correct.) She originally gave me a telephone number (38 064 2530755) and an address (Kotzubinskogo st 19a/58, Lugansk) for an "agency with no name." My telephone calls to her were made to that location, supposedly so that she would have a tranlator (Katya) available to help her.
This scammer uses a number of variations on the spelling of her surname such as: Treegubchak, Teegubshak, Tregubchak, Treehubchak and Treegubshak. I presume that the purpose of this is to confound Google searches.
