she persisted for me to use western union money transfers. After severl weeks chatting on MSN:
May - Birthday money requested & sent £100
June - Passport & visa money requested & sent £200
Late June - I refused to send money for flight ticket but i was talked into this & i sent £350
July - declaration document money to leave country £1000 sent
I relised scam when no show at airport, she blamed sick father needing financial help & requested £500 more.I found that she hadn't booked a flight ticket.
She said she would prove that she was genuine & faxed me a copy of her passport & said she would travel without my help.
She gave new flight details but failed to show up.
I recieved a phone call the next day from a man claiming to be an immigration officer stating that she was being held for gold smuggling. I could get her released if i paid the fine They even emailed me a false document as proof. I have ignored this.
I have sent information to the Ghana immigration director but have not received a reply.
I have informed the dating agency, they have removed her profile.
I feel that if you want to stop these people you have to take the law into your own hands. I know i can set this gang up to be caught. I'm told police Ghana will not get invovled. Not good for country relations!! It just encourages racism.
