# Details: Here are letters I recd from someone calling themselves Elena Sergeeva. We wrote back and forth over a 5 or 6 week period and it may still be continuing since as you may see, the last letter was received 2 days ago. She contacted me thru yahoo personals saying she lived in Surgut City Russia and was interested in meeting an American man. In the first week or 2 I offered to send her money. She explained that being a pediatric doctor in Russia does not pay much and I felt kinda sorry for her. Though I noticed some inconsistencies in the things she told me from letter to letter, I sent her $50 to a Surgut bank via Western Union. She soon asked for $400 for travel to Moscow and a visa. After much hesitation I sent it. Then she needed $1480 for airline tickets. Again I hesitated but then decided to send it only to be stopped by Western Union! The phone rep said Elena Sergeeva had recd money from 12 different men! You can read her responses to these developments in her letters. I have kept this list of her letters compiled since the start, but none of my own are in here. Thank God. (I really fell for her) Now thanks to your site and othersI see how common this scam is.rn
