# Details: portia contacted me from the website match.com. she immediately started calling me baby, honey and was automatically telling me that she wanted to marry me and that she loved me. next she told me she wanted me to pay for her to come to the US to sell the "clothes" she and her mother made. as it turned out, the pictures came from the official ghana state website. she directed me to the website clementtravelandtour@yahoo.com to pay them $2,100.00 to get her here. Almost all the words and enlish was very bad. The number to this fake travel agent was 00233243159440. Later she told me the travel agent was her brother whose name is clememt asiedu. Next she wanted money for her sick mother in the hospital who was about to die. Then she wanted a computer so she would not have to continue to use the computer from the cafe. After that she wanted a cell phone and even set me the picture despicting the phone. I knew this was a scam from the beginning so i just played along with her. I had fun with this one but often think of the poor lonely people who are taken everyday. As a matter of fact, I had her waiting at the post office in ghana to pick up the phone. That was a great feeling because the player had been played. The fact of this matter is the scammers are so easy to spot. One of the best ways to beat them is to play along (thats if you have some time and just want to have some fun). They is nothing clever about what they do. Never should you send money or gifts to anyone you don't know on a personal basis, and remember it is virtually impossible to get to know someone from the internet.
