I just received an email from Wells Fargo that used a dinefreft root domain than their own. It was a server provided by the marketing firm they contracted with, but there was no good way to tell if it really was from Wells Fargo or not. I've seen this kind of nonsense before, and you're right - it does condition us to click strange links.

She was a pretty obvious scammer but beware that she has a moderately good forgery of an Australian visa that she will happily send to you as proof that she has the visa. On close inspection this forgery becomes obvious as their are many mistakes with it. I played along for weeks and even got her to telephone me a few times but she never got a cent out of me.
