Steve, you are correct and i think the is a follow up on that case by the cops but i not have the details yet . What i,m trying to organize here is some type of regulator on dating sites , whereby someone can go and complain and get somewhere ??? Will keep you posted on this ?

Someone in here sure hates me. He is only jealous that I have what he can never get. Tom what your guy in Ireland should have done is go to the police immediately. Maybe there is not much they could do but at least a case would be open. There is a civil case there at the minimum and maybe a criminal case.

Yes MANY of those agencies are in on the scamming - they put adverts in papers for "models" get them to put their photos & profiles up & the girls get approx 20% commission from each letter opened.
Once a guy wants to visit, she disappears.
The admin in the agencies write most of the letters because they are the ones who read, write & speak English.
I am now following up with a tech guru who is far more able than me to back track who owns what & where they're linked.
Apparently there are back door methods to stop scamming sites, but I won't say anymore than that.Let's just say there is more than one way to skin a cat.

Any time anyone here , including me, puts up bad comments about dating sites, whither it be in Dublin , U.K, Ukraine or China ,ADM here keep deleting them .They just " WILL NOT" allow anyone to say negative thing about those DATING SITES, but in their eyes they see nothing wrong when some poor idiot is or has been ripped off?? .Like some ostrich it is ok to bury ones head in the sand and pretend all is ok ???" Steve , yes it did happen here, and yes he was not too bright , but when he found out that he lost 500 euros and then went to the particular dating site in question, they did not want to know, nor did they offer him a refund , and that is why he went live on air to expose it ??And yes he was an idiot ??.Regards

Tom I listened to the podcast. It was hard to understand whether this happened in Ireland or some other country? I am sure if this happened in Ireland there would have been some recourse he could have taken. This guy that it happened to didn't sound too bright but I guess that's what these agencies prey on.

I, think that STEVE guy, is the guilty party for reposting your last comment. He is trying to get out of the line of fire, by directing the focus on somebody else. He can't handle the strain when everybody is pointing out his personality traits, so he gets relief by directing the aim at somebody else for something they did not do. Steve you are a sorry, lone, sole, with no friends in this whole world. In stead of spending every minute of the day on this site telling cool, and how smart you are, go outside and do something for a change. Your life doesn't have to be so shallow. Some of the agencies that SOE mentioned I am convinced are in on the scamming themselves. That is why they have so many scam profiles. Why let scammers make all the money? There is your answer.

Now prior to having to add that last comment - apologies, but he had it coming. The point of anti-scam sites is that they are used as a learning tool. Unfortunately 95% of those scammed do not find out about these sites until they have been scammed. In the years that I have been stopping by, I can only remember about 10 dudes who actually said this site saved them financial misery. But it was a good place to discuss this subject matter. And everyone, even Steve has added something to the conversation. And as we continue to see, Agencies do not vet their profiles and really don't care to. It is not cost effective for them. Once a year the press may run a piece on international scamming, but that is about it. I have several friends who live in my city who had their pix stolen from FB and placed on RBrides. Just a sad state of affairs in which we live in.

I am not part of this site. They are Ukrainians based in Mariupol. I suppose they set up this site because many of their own clients were taken advantage of by scammers. Also to attract new customers for their dating sites. Bravo to Hanuma Net Ltd
