The moral of this story is that you CAN NOT fall in love with someone online. James fell in love with a pic. But really he fell in lust. That clouded his judgment. He sent money. God knows how much. The internet is great. Notebooks are great. They have to be managed properly. Nothing wrong with meeting someone online. It's the first step to get you connected with people. But you have to go see her. Love only happens when you meet her in person. James didn't even think about that step.

Steve, i totally agree with you ,and that is why i have mentioned this for James specially.I know he has been burnt,so he may " think " that if he sees some-one on cam( not pic) then they must be legitimate,and as you have rightly pointed out,he has got to look out for the tell-tale signs? if not as Big One has suggested, he should get rid of that lap-top before it is really becomesthe death of him ?

Tom - even if they check out on the web cam, you still gotta be careful if you decide to go see them. There are tell tale signs though that they give off long before you go see them so you can see what they're up to.

James if you had consulted with friends / family I am sure they would have told you not to send money to someone you had 'met' on the internet. Quite often the victim wants so much for it to be true. Wants so much that the person in the pic is interested in him that he sets aside all rationale and proper judgment. I agree totally with you Tom about your comments about the webcam.

I will talk to no-one with pics only and i always insist on cam, but even that is not safe as they can run a copy video passed you, talk to you and blow kisses at you, but all you may be looking at is a" video " of someone and talking to someone else ? and the best example of that here is our good old friend called Ravin Rilly porn star?.Normally if some one comes on to me on cam, i ask them to comb their hair, or stand up ect,and 90% of them will then vanish ????The safest thing to do in all of this is to keep your money in your pocket ?? .
