As a seller, I cosohe Etsy, no doubt! But if we're talking about vintage, as a buyer I still look at Ebay first. The auctions thing works well for me, I certainly loose items because of outbidders or just because I forget to bid (!), but the ending prices are often better than on Etsy. I think on Etsy often things tend to be totally overpriced for their real conditions...

First off - I guess I am now officially "de-lurking"... I found your blog thrguoh my cousin Jocelyn and Pacey (Kerry, Ruby, and Medina as well!)I love reading about your family, and I'm always thinking and praying for Abby. I love how reading your blog (and the comments) can give me happy and sad tears all at once... I am a true believer that laughter really is the best medicine there is out there. Hopefully the ice storm doesn't get as bad as it did last year. I don't think the hospital would send you out in the ice... you'd just end up right back there...Thinking about Abby as always...Jessica

More than one magical layer, I'd say. In color imaegs, there's that lovely, saturated better-than-color off-ness about the imaegs, which comes from a lack of accuracy in the chemistry. But I sense other layers, too... They're the ones I call traces , remnants , or shadows of the past. It's as if ghosts become frozen in these older imaegs...and in this case, the ghost is a moment in time when a good-lookin' short-shorts wearin' babe from the 40s climbed atop a jib boom.Part of the magic is that she'll be there forever.
