She showed up through my match.com profile. Standard scammer. Too beautiful to be real. I played with her for a little while, knowing what she was up to. At first, it seemd she was setting me up to buy her a computer and internet service, because she didn't have one at home, and her boss in the cosmetics section was often telling her to get off the computer. I ignored that bit of setup, and sent a romantic "I'm-a-sucker" email. Ka-ching! She thought she had hit the gold mine. Immediately got an email telling me she was deeply in love with me and that we should meet in the US. Donetsk was simply too dangerous for anyone to visit because the global economic crisis had turned it into a lawless city where forgeiners were being kidnapped for ransom. I didn't wait for the price of this miraculous visit. I simply sent her an email telling her (or him) that I knew the scammer routine and that I knew she was one.

John 42 - That's very starnge that you had that problem with stop-scammers, I have never had any problems with them. I have submitted dozens of reports and they were all posted within 3-5 days. The only time I had a report not get posted was when I didn't email them a photo because I had deleted it, they won't post reports without photos and letters, but I have submitted probably 3 dozen reports and all have been posted but the one that I had no photo for. The only thing I don't like about that site is the lack of a comment feature like this one where scambaiters/scam victims can compare notes. But I believe what you are saying though, hell, they could be part of a scamming group that wants to stop all other scammers and have the freakin market cornered, the idea isn't all that far-fetched.....I'll have to keep that in mind. What club was it? Maybe I can get one from that club and try to submit and see what happens?

Yes it is, very slow, I think it has been about 2 weeks now since I submitted a report on a very dangerous Nigerian scammer, it has yet to be posted. One thing you can do is go to stop-scammers.com and submit a report there, they post them alot quicker and you also get a free, full membership and unlimited access to all the info if you submit a report. All you have to do is fill out the report form and then send pics and letters and they post it up and your membership allows you access to everything on the site.
