My comment was meant to be only reasonable deduction that the actions of "Nina" are those of neither a rational nor an honest person. You are correct in your assumption that her story varies just by reading what has been documented. Unless you have more information than we social misfits have, reasonable deduction considering the information presented is all we can hope for. I would assume there is more to this than meets the eye and would bet we will see more of her and her story in the future. I do find interesting the Gia page http://www.gia.com.ua/girl/vlada and their motivation to take the effort to make that information available. There are no links to this page anywhere on their site so I would suspect that it was focused toward “Nina” herself and not their general clientele. Another question would be is why they keep her information alive and just not delete it. They charge these girls for “advertising space” and I would bet “Nina” isn’t paying them for it. Maybe the whole thing is a hoax contrived by social misfits with the cooperation of Gia, many other pay to advertise websites and individuals? Possibly, or maybe she is what she seems to be, a prostitute who knows she can scam men and steal money in many ways?

My $.02 is also correct, many of these girls are really screwed up in the head, living some fantasy, delusional, psychotic, or even schizophrenic and could be violent to themselves, their children, or almost anyone. This one is surely a nut case. One thing is for sure, if seen anywhere on the net the source should be alerted to her nature and her profile should be posted as many places as possible.

If the goal is to find a rich husband (reasonable enough)and she already had one (the American), why in God's name would she rock the boat by collecting infections from barnyard animals? There is a limit to what we can caulk up to mental illness, after all. Read Buckley's interview with her; she comes off as being lucid enough. (She wildly overestimates her own worth, of course, but that is a predictable response to being paid huge sums of money for her attention.)

As I posted earlier, Nina does not resemble Snow White (and I am sticking to that story). In any case, there is too much conflicting evidence to piece together this girl's story. One thing is completely believable, however: that she is looking for a wealthy husband/sponsor. This girl (whatever her name is) is currently working in Kiev, now using the name Masha on top-models dot com dot ua (http://www.top-models.com.ua/?id=2535) and a few other sites with the same or different photos, just google the telephone number and look at the cached pages also. I have seen her off and on many sites, Gia, individualki dot com dot ua,(http://individualki.com.ua/index.php?Lev=user&Id=1293) and others for more than a year or two (she just changed the photos to not show her face, she was using the ones from Gia for a long time). Maybe she is getting too popular ;). I think the use of her real name is when she is trying to extract $ from foreign men on the dating scam and needs a way to receive the funds. She has several names listed however. I would seriously doubt that she would use her real name on the prostitution sites or the dating sites, every girl uses an alias unless it is a (semi)reputable (if there is such) dating site who says they check the authenticity of the girl.
She is a well known prostitute, that part is obvious. The dating/marriage scam seems to be just part of her business I believe, someone has just put the two together. The abandonment issue may be true, but if your wife had this low of a moral character maybe one would think twice in calling it abandonment and not just good riddance. I would not feel sorry for her, she could have chosen a different profession easily, not every beautiful girl in Kiev is a prostitute/scammer/thief. Maybe if her husband (if there is such a person) had done some homework from a site like this he would not have made such a mistake or the entire story she tells is all part of a con game. There are several scam reports but many of them do differ. There is also some more info on this girl (as Vlada) which made some news in the blog.kievukraine.info (http://blog.kievukraine.info/2008/10/in-ukraine-police-write-notes-to.html) in October '08 where she was interviewed by some freelance writer in Kiev and talked about her affiliation with Gia Agency which made a lot of noise in the local press. The idiot who left his money for her to steal is a recent development as the site TomT is referring to on Gia Agency has recently changed to reflect this guy's story. The site was quite different when she was first listed as a scammer on this site however, offering her services (with detailed descriptions) and her willingness to participate in “kinky sex”. The new information may be true or just GIA trying to get back at her for revealing "sensitive" information about their operation to the press. Maybe TomT can shed some more light on his insight, Do you know this girl, or are you planning to? ;)
Maybe much of this could easily be settled by a panel of judges or simply calling her for an interview as her telephone number is readily available on several Kiev websites as a prostitute, a few of which are listed above. Paying her for her time might be a little more difficult as I am not aware of any prostitute or agency in Kiev which accepts credit cards. :) A few clubs however have a Pay for Play option on the menu of late which is a $300 bottle of cheap champagne provided with a naked girl to lick the champagne off of you or you off the girl. Novel approach, but I can say one thing, they are creative.
By the way, Kiev is not a bad city, or much different from Paris, Berlin, Madrid or any other EU capital. From the Press, Sex Tourism is a welcome business in Ukraine but also in many other EU cities. However the Ukrainian Government looks down on this publicity when trying to con billions of Dollars or Euros from their political partners.

Something about this scam report does not ring true. This girl is using her real name and real photos which is not archetypal scammer behavior. It appears likely that she was married to an American and that she and her daughter were abandoned as she claims.
Frankly, I don't think that the situation is cut and dry at all. A quick search reveals a plethora of scam reports but closer examination reveals that they may have been all authored by the one person who claims that she stole $300 from his hotel room while he was in the bathroom. (What kind of fool leaves his money lying in a drawer when he hires a hooker? For that matter, what kind of fool goes to Ukraine to hire a hooker?)
Make no mistake about it, Nina bears no resemblence to Snow White but there is quite a bit of reasonable doubt floating around that is being overlooked by many people who are amusing themselves with their literary masturbation.

She is very sly and speaks excellent English. Tells a convincing story, and will travel within Ukraine to meet you, but at a price. Be very careful, she is very good at what she does, using her daughter to get $ from you for food, clothes, toys, medical costs, rent, everything and anything. Says she has a lot of property but cannot make the payments and the bank will take her only place to live leaving her homeless.
