I have a similar situation at ppantherp. I have already told this scammer that she's fake and all that stuff. But I still get her emails, although it almost seems as if she's replying to my emails. I told her that I have to know for sure that she is real and so in order to send her money, I'll require her to send me a photo of her in her lingerie. So, she then did this (bra and lace panties), now I'm asking for more pics before I send her money. Of course I'm playing with her here. I'm not going to send money to her and working to see if she will send naked pics to me. I feel sorry for Sucker who lost money on this scammer. She's doing well, making a living as a con-artist too. In her last email she talked about starving homeless children and that it finally snowed in her city. Meanwhile, earlier in the month when she sent her car photo, there was slush on the ground. I think its really funny. I just laugh at the emails...and so today, I decided to encourage her to send money to the starving homeless children and asked about her job. Then I told her about some terrible world news....just to waste her/it/their time. This has become a fun adventure.

Sucker, The answer, at least partly,--is that they just send out 'pre-written' letters. I am not usualy crude, BUT when they will NOT take NO for an answer, even though I have already accused them of scamming, I have resorted to writing 'F*** OFF' in the title bar of email. That usually does the trick. To prove that many do not even read the emails sent to them, when I am suspisious, I have even attached photos of Pierce Brosnon with my replies--no reaction at all from them!!--- Also, I would NOT advise giving them your address or phone number--EVER!--I send them the address and phone number of local Zoo! Tell them to ask for 'Mr.C.Lyon' when they phone up.-- Just a great pity that I cannot be there to wittness their reaction when told 'Madam--this is a Zoo!!'

I'm not trying to dig into anybody else's personal affairs but I'm wondering....has anyone else actually transferred money to this chick? Reason I ask is because I' hearing quite a few people confirm that they're still receiving more emails from him/her/them, this time requesting "more" money. Problem is, I don't understand why they would be asked for more money unless they contributed to her "fund" previously. I mean, don't get me wrong. She/he/they are still writing me too, even as recently as this afternoon, and they're asking why I am not replying to their emails or helping them out with this additional money they need at the airport. But I can understand that because I made the mistake of paying her the first time. Just my own curiousity, I suppose.

You poor(er) sucker.. I hope you didn't send her any more money. I just got another email from her, asking for more money, after I'd already told her I knew she was a scam. She sent a pic of her in a bra and panties. I just sent an email to a person in the US Embassy in Russia and asked if there was something that could be done about this. If I hear anything back I will let you know.

Gentlemen, I need your help. As I acknowledged to you last week, I made the mistake of paying this b*tch the 7 bills she was crying for as a result of this "accident." Since then, while I have gotten over the error of my ways and have learned a great deal, I have also been thinking about ways I could, at the very least, pay her/him/them back. Today I received a mail that I certainly knew was coming. This time, she/he/they claim to be at the airport in Moscow but unable to depart due to some insurance money. I know this to be complete bullsh*t. I am attaching her email below..... Hello my love! I'm in Moscow right now in airport! I have come here today and I am writing this e-mail from the internet club here. I have arrived to Moscow I have gone to the airport! At the airport I have found out that the russian government makes the new rules and laws for people who want to leave the country. I have the trouble! I have paid money for my ticket to you but it was insufficiently! I was confused! I have gone to a department of registration of tickets and the control of luggage. But I was in shock when was informed that airline have entered a new rules for russian people - insurance payment! If I am the citizen of Russia, I should pay the insurance, and only in this case I can sit in the plane! BUT THE GIVEN SUM WILL COME BACK IN CASE OF SAFE ARRIVAL OF THE PLANE UP TO DESTINATION! I was in trance from such news! When I’ve bought the ticket, I have not been informed. I have gone to a department of information. I have told them that it is illegally because I have not been informed before! They informed that airline have entered this rule recently, because the terror acts sometimes happen and an epidemic of pneumonia has approached to the borders of Russia still. I have answered them that I am completely healthy and I have all documents and I am not afraid! America is a free country and can protect the citizens and visitors of the country! I have the certificate of passage of a medical inspection! I have cried and shouted! They have answered that these laws are thought out not by them and if I have complaint, I should address to top management. They have told that rules are so and they cannot help me. I should pay 450 american dollars for insurance. The given sum will be returned to me by representative of russian airlines at the destination airport. Please, as soon as possible send money to my name via western union. It's located not far away from here and I can go there and get your transfer easily. You receive this money back after my arrival to you if the plane will not fall. But I think that it will not take place. You can use again system of western union because in immediate proximity from the airport there is a bank which uses this system of a remittance and I can receive your money. I write to you now and my nerves on a limit! Tomorrow I will take advantage of services of Internet cafe again to receive your email. I so am frightened! I cannot be in Moscow long time because I have no money for a meal and for a night lodging. It's evening now. Tomorrow I must pay the insurance. Otherwise they will return to me money for my ticket and I cannot arrive to you. I will be compelled to come back to Rudnichnyy. I think you are annoyed and think that I deceive you, but it is not so! I do not know how to prove it to you, but it is the truth! I regret about event but I haven't anybody to ask for help, again I ask your help! There is tears on my eyes. But I am sure that soon we will be together! It is terrible but I try to keep calmness. Right now I must pay 450 dollars for the flight insurance. There are many new rules and checks of safety, because of terrorists acts and other things. I'm worry, write to me, what occurs in reality? There is a big queue and excitements on flights to your country! And the insurance is the obligatory for everyone. Without the insurance I will not be admitted aboard the plane! But don't worry please, because this money will be returned when I arrive to you! My love as soon as possible send me 450 dollars for the insurance the same way and I could get it here in Moscow! Do not forget to write me Money Transfer Control Number! I will wait for your love! We will meet soon! I will be in a blue jeans suit. I think you will recognise me quickly in a crowd! With love your Marina. P.S. Here is address of Moscow western union office: PROBUSINESSBANK AVTOZAVODSKAYA, 6 MOSCOW , 109280 P.S. I still can't get money if you will send it to my name. I thought long time what can I do and I could remember and could find good friend of my parents. I told her about my situation and she said that she will help me to come to you. I said that I need 450$ but she said she can't help me with it because she already spent all her resources to buy new washing machine. But after long talk she said that she can help me to get transfer if you Matt can help me. Honey if you will help me please use name of my parent's friend EKATERINA VOROBEVA. Send money to this name and send me necessary information about transfer! This is all I could do. I love you and hope for you my dear! I am almost alone here and can't stay long time! You are my single hope! Now, here's what I'm thinking and I'd like your opinions on this. I'm giving serious thought to transferring 1 dollar to this person via Western Union. This way, I can get her to go back in to WU and get this money, thinking that it's going to be the full 450. My ultimate hope would be that some sort of Russian authority could detain her and possibly even take her into custody. I know that I am putting a relying very heavily on the ability of Russia to do what is right here but for the 1 dollar + whatever the transfer fee would be, I'd almost be willing to take the risk. At worst, while it may not contribute to the entire shutdown of their scamming operations, I believe it might at least send a significant shock through their system. And who knows, I might even be able to get my cash back. My other less-monumental thought was basically one of simply just getting a little piece of mind. For this, I was thinking of just making up a transfer reference number and sending her an email saying that I'd made the transfer. This way, she would go to WU expecting this sucker has once again wired her funds sight-unseen, only to walk out with zilch in her pocket. I'm thinking about reaching out to WU to see what their thoughts are on how the potential "sting" might work out but I'm not optimistic. I guess I was just looking for your opinions. Hopefully, you'll all be kind enough to share them. Have a great one!

Good Day, gents. In case you haven't already seen it, you've all GOT to check out ID 3049 immediately! This is one for the Hall of Fame. At worst, it has already provided me hours of entertainment! LOL

Yep m, I got that one this morning too. I get the feeling these messages are on some kind of auto-send and are only initiated after you send her a message. I sent this freak an email on Sunday sometime and then only sent her another one yesterday, when I found out about this scam. It was then that I got another email from "her" side.

Tom39,like I said and if you re-read what I wrote, I stated the word "Most" and that doesn't mean "all.....And I do know of a few other guys that were duped into believing that they were the only man in the girls life when they were visited...They only show you what they want you to believe......Let's face it, when you are with people that you know, you show a different face than the one you show to someone that you are trying to impress....Now, if you were truly in each others lives and were living just a few miles away from each other, you would have a better idea of what the other person is doing.... Even though you two were together for a short period of time, you still don't know everything about her....Hell, I've been married for almost 17 nyears at the end of this month, and I would bet that my wife still has some secrets, just like I do......

Roamer, this one gives out a last name. So, you can't really know if its false or not. I had a REAL russian gf in the past and my letters/gifts managed to reach her and she in return sent a photo showing her with the gifts. She was real and did come to see me in the USA with her own money while using a 3-month student cultural exchange program. She paid rent and never asked me for money. But when she attempted to send something to me from her hometown in Russia, it disappeared within the russian postal system. This is the corruption that takes place.

Gentlemen, I am truly embarrassed writing this on here but I'll be damned if I'm going to contribute to this continuing with some other unsuspecting victim. I too was contacted by this "Marina" about 2 months or so ago. Details of my email traffic mirror what many of you have already stated in your comments below. I also received the email giving the 411 on this "accident" caused by some kid that just so happened to bail out and never be found. Long story short, I sent her money. I know that I am absolutely almost entirely at fault here because I was too blinded by some fake chick pretending to show me some affection. So, here I am today, honestly sick to my stomach because despite every bone in my body telling me this was bullsh*t and my late decision to do more in-depth research, I'm out money that shouldn't have left my pocket. Like I said though, it was dumb, I'm a complete fool for doing it, but if I can help someone else who's gotten or is currently getting roped in by this b*tch, that's what I wanna do.

Comment from Roamer Knows

You don't have to waste your money on phone cards at all...Ask them for their address and mail them a card.....Tell them you want to send them a gift and chances are they will tell you not to send anything via the real mail because there is so much corruption with the mail system and it will get stolen.......Don't believe that crap for a second....I sent a package to "Anna" with the intention to prove that most scammers provide false addresses to their victims...After 3 weeks it was sent back to my house as undeliverable because addressee was unknown, and all it was, was 3 small crystal perfume bottles that I bought for less than $5....A simple letter will do the exact thing, because if they truly are real, then they will do whatever it takes to have it translated and then e-mail you and tell you they received your card or letter and thank you for being so thoughtful....If a woman refuses to give you her last name or address, then it's a scammer!!!!!!!!!!And then all that you are out is a dollar or two for proof.......

Vince, she sent me photos of her mom and dad with her in the pics as a young girl. Just like what m said, she spoke about her father having cancer and passing away just 4 years ago. Someone made a new posting about her under #3039 with additional pics that she's sent out, which I recognized. A way to nab this type of person is through a sting operation via the local authorities.

very close to be a victim here. i just received the car accident e-mail last week. 11.7.07. this girl is great with her long emails and engaging emotions by invovling mother, and father passed away of cancer. i'm sure as you read these comments you are disappointed since she is a very attractive girl. nevertheless this person is a SCAMMER. it's funny how these pictures posted here are the ones i received. disappointed but happy to check this website. saved me the $740. i told her to call me collect and provided here with calling card free digits. she never did. that was my first suspicion.

I almost one important thing to add, why would you aske for money and not have it sent to you? This is the part in the last email received from her friday. Did she send any pictures of her so called mom or talk about her family with anyone else? If not, be aware of this family tactic.

I am smiling at that fact that these scammers don't realize that by copying and pasting the same messasges to whoever they come in cotnact with won't somehow figure it out. I too have been in contact with this person and here I am reading wht looks like my emails..lol I am just wondering how we stop at least one of them. Maybe this one. Blacklisting them isn't going to work. Maybe finding ways to have them arrested and jailed.. What does everyone here think?

Hi Guys, Well, I guess I'm not the only one getting scammed by Marina. She did me the exact same as Tom39 below, same address and all, same wreck, passport, ticket, etc., word for word. I figured her too good to be true.

Comment from 6RoyDelta

She's not very good at this. I was suspicious from the start, but knew it was a scam when I got a letter that addressed me as "toname" in a couple of places - she cut and pastes names in to make it sound like it's not a form letter. Also, the photo on this page is also her "passport photo" - she photoshopped it onto the old passport. I'm still stringing it out, seeing how long she'll keep asking.

Johnathan and Rob, this scammer was fishing for me as well. We were doing all the same exact email correspondance, its like deja vu when I read your comments. Its as if she just copies and pastes the emails to us. She waited 3 weeks to tell me that an agency has accepted her for coming to America to work for 2 years. Then she said she is an Orthopedic Doctor and had to take an international license exam to work in any country. She of course passed the test. Her photos had perfect lighting and it was suspicious. I began to think that her friend was a professional photographer. Then she claimed to fall in love with me last weekend while asking if there is a chance we can form a relationship beyond just friends. Then the day before she was going to travel to Moscow to come to the USA, she got into that car accident. She said that a boy ran out in front of her and steering away from the boy caused her to drive into an expensive car. She didn't have insurance and the police came. She said she had to pay out of pocket, so she returned to the agency to get her money back for paying for the damages. She wrote back to say that she could not get a loan from her bank and her mother was refused a loan as well. So, she then said that she needed me to wire $740 vis Western Union. She said to send the money under her friends name: SUVOROVA EKATERINA And to send it to this Western Union location: URALSIB OKTYABRSKAYA, 8 BELOVO RUSSIA She said she lives in Kemerovo. She also attached a scanned image of her Passport and plane ticket. Her passport was issued by the USSR. A friend of mine in Russia said that such passports are only issued to people in their 70's-80's. I'll see about sharing this documentation with those who run this site.

I wanted to ad that the photo of the car sent had snow around it and hit a pole not a car. Little things she missed when she claimed to have been in an accident that day. The snow lines show that the car had been there for sometime and the dent is round on the bumper.. I suggest that people take a good look at the details when talking to people like this . simple things will give away the fakes

I sent nothing but advice
