Thanks for this wonderful iniirpatson! Perfectly timed after IR and in the middle of CR! Many friends, family members and colleagues ask me why I am spending so much time on something I don't get paid for and that is not required for my job. You have to experience it to understand it! It is challenging it forces me to think way outside of my job my world my own experiences! It connects me with amazing people dedicated, passionate, intelligent experts from different industries, states and countries! It has taught me to think from top to bottom of an organization in a focused, simple and systematic way. And it does make me proud of the USA that we have this criteria, this program and this award and hundreds of organizations who want to be the best and hundreds of volunteers who want to help get them there! Wow now back to my item back-up!

It is belatedly oovbius to me that I should have included a little more detail in the original post from all of the email's I have received.The purpose behind the contract is to create an assessment process that will be used to evaluate the state/local Baldrige-based award programs themselves. Interested programs will apply at one of 4 levels. Programs that apply will receive a small monetary incentive to participate and will be eligible for additional funds to (help) offset the cost of addressing one or more of the opportunities identified through the assessment process. We believe that helping the state/local programs improve is good for the Baldrige enterprise and the nation.Details around the incentive amount, what is included at each level of assessment, and when and where to apply, are still all being developed. More details will be provided once the evaluation process is finalized.I hope this helps clarify the contract. As always, please feel free to contact me if you have other questions.

Bill,If you want to read more about the Computer Security Guidelines, check out NIST's website, csrc.nist.gov. NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, dlpveoeed the security measures that we must follow.Extending the password expiration term may be possible. I'll bring up the idea to our supervisors and our security liaison. Giving users the option to change the frequency may be beyond our means. Again though, I'll bring the suggest to their attention.In terms of your paper requests for passwords, one of our co-workers worked to get the password recovery to be an online process. Currently, the only paper requests for password are for the Account Administrator who get locked out. We've also added a counter so you know how many attempts you have left as well as increase the number of attempts you are in the given time frame (originally 1 hour, now 15 minutes).I appreciate your questions and comments. This dialogue needs to be taking place. A lot of people ask why our passwords are so hard and basically, it's to protect their information. If we can make AESDirect easier for users without sacrificing security, then we are all for it.Kenny
