But a good life my friend. Please every newcomer that comes across this site. There is no woman who is falling in love with you without first meeting and getting to know you. Never, ever send money until such time as you know for sure. Please, listen to me, I am the spawn of hell!

Thanks Arie, but actually, I think I should be committed. I keep coming back here because of the boys. They are all way too cool; even if they are a bunch of old fogies. Oops, can't forget the love of my life - Big Sis!But remember - never, ever send money!!

Dameon, you deserve a medal for your commitment. As you mentioned, most scammers are dumb, and pretty careless in their writings. Still, they get enough money to make it profitable. So guys are careless as well? Or maybe it's too easy to fall in love with sexy photos. Although you don't know how it's like living with her, maybe she's a jealous freak, or she has crazy cooking habits, drinking too much, or planning to divorce you in 2 years, etc.? By the way, even after meeting, I don't think it's a good idea to mix love and money. Keep your fingers in good shape, see you around. P.S. Natasha was my 2nd scammer in many years, being able to write in Russian helps to scare them away :)

Jess. Like I have said before. Some sites don't care if they have scammers on there sites. When you tell them about a scammer they will ignore you. They really don't want to loose a pretty face. Best is to educate your self through fine sites like this one and in no time you will spot a scammer in the first sentence. As for all the guys that got burned it's to bad they didnt know.

You have to really watch out what you say because some Sicilians really get offended when you call them Italians, and vice versa...And by NO MEANS call them Wops or Guineas......They hurt people for less....No offense Men....Been there done that....

Does everyone else agree with Dameon? Does anyone have an idea on how to present this issue to these internet sites? W.A. and/or Big Sister, do you have an opinion on this subject? It would be interesting to know what others think.

I have set up several scammers at various western unions; but none that I know of that have been arrested. But I have received many threats and stories of what happened at the W.U. when they tried to collect on the phony number I gave them. The killer of all this is that I never went looking for a Russian girlfriend. I was on American Singles looking for someone local and all of a sudden I was getting messages from women that profiled my area as there home and then once you start corresponding, they let you know that they are in either Russia or West Africa. Once I figured out the time differences between countries; I knew exactly when to go online and find them. I can pick out a scammer by her profile in a nano-second. They really are so dumb. I have never been wrong yet. The problem is that sites like American Singles, Yahoo. Match.Com and similiar free sites really do not have a system set-up to prevent these scam profiles from being posted. What annoys me is that you would think that they would at least post warnings on their home page. To be honest, my bigger problem is with these sites. I just don't think they care. Hence, some guys who lose their mind on a pretty face run the risk of losing $. And that bothers the sh*t out of me. So, here I am. Ok - my fingers hurt now. Later and don't send $ to anyone that you have never met.

Hi Dameon, you seem pretty active in your quest to stop scammers, any personal successes?

Steen, I've been to Russia several times, since my studies at the university I kinda breath Russia and Russian culture :) I've experienced poverty in some parts of Russia, but this was clearly a scammer. Her introduction letter was totally over the top (as you can see), then she had forgotten rather obvious details (that I spoke Russian for example), she was online all night but claimed to have no money for the internet cafe, never answered any personal questions, and asked for money only after a few casual contacts online. Of course, noone should be greedy. But even IF a girl can't afford to go to an internet cafe, she can look for a local guy. I just hope she's not registered at some real agencies.

Congrats Steen. I hope it all works out for you. We are all aware of the hardships many of the Russian people now face. And I am sure they can all use help; but internet scamming doesn't work, I don't care how destitute they are. However, I do agree with you about traveling there. Then all possibilities are within reach. And this brings us back to the whole point of this site. Do not send anything to any woman that you have never met. In fact, the only thing you should ever send to another country is yourself. And even then, be careful.

Arie, have you ever been in Russia? I don't think so. the past 1½ years, i have been there ten times and i go there again on September 30 to Yoshkar-Ola, where i have found my happines - and from April next year, i will move to there! Do you understand why Russian girls try to find their man outside Russia? they are poor people over there and especially teachers have very small salary for their job! and they do not only work from 8-16, probably from 7-20 and 6 days a week. And for this they receive about $200 a month, sometimes even less! I will not defence the real scammers - but sometimes the girls really need help to survive. Feel free to contact me at sp1703@c.dk - it could be interesting to hear different meanings about this.
