Comment from Graham, Australia

I was in contact with this person in 2006/07 for some time. She sent me several glamorous photos with the emails. Then I was sent an email for 'Translation services' from a company called Konsul. I immediately heard the warning bells. After some researching on various anti-scammer sites I found her photo. I ceased contact when she denied knowing why her picture was there. About 10 months went bye when she recently contacted me again. I will see how long it takes for her to mention money. Even though I know she scamming, she is quite convincing. I concur with Dameon about the free translating services.

And I see the debate goes on and on regarding translation services. The question would be; what person in their right mind wouls sign up for something like this if they cannot afford it? I agree with M.R., there are many free translation services on the web; including World Lingo. This is a scam, at least as far as I see. And how have you boys been doing?

But then again there are free traslation services on the net. "World lingo" for one. If she doesn't wanna use it. To hell with her. And besides as herc says...."if she doesnt speak your language...." What would you do if you actually meet someone that you cannot speak with.Hmmmm can you say "alot of awkward moments"

I agree, and I disagree, with Hercules' comments below. The report does refer to a request for funds from an "agency". It would be interesting to see that message. Yes, there are agencies that are ligit - but they do not operate on credit. And the letters from this person here do appear to be copied / pasted from a library of letters. Any one of these letters could have been sent in response to any letter from anyone. There is no evidence of that any letter here was specifically written to Clive. But - as posted - this report certainly lacks any smoking gun proof of a scam. Many Russians are honest, and certainly all as proud of thier country and culture and feel distress, even if not always displayed, at their predicament.

@hercules "...all the Rusians I know are completely honest...?" Maybe you know just few of them. Fact is that most of them are scammers ...

Roamer, thing is, I never saw anything in the report to suggest a scam. Money was never asked for. On this site, we have to realize, there are honest women out there, and yes, some of them do not speak English. I have many friends in Russia, and have been there several times. Going to Moscow in October, to meet a lady that I have known for six years. Thing is, my friends male/female, all speak and write English. Can not fill up all the space here, but, all the Rusians I know are completely honest. It is just too bad that about 1% ruin it for the rest.

Hey Herc 44, you are so absolutely right on the money. I think that we as men sometimes think with a stiff dick instead of our brain, and they say that a stiff dick has no conscience.....and a stiff dick only lasts so long...

Well, the are legit agencies, and I believe it is $5.00 USD per letter for translation. Question is, why would one pay for translation services? If the lady can not speak your native language in the first place, then you are dead in the water. Sign language only goes so far.
