Less hoops upon arrival, Father - but expcet them upon departure.Following the Shoe-bomber' incident some years ago, people now have to remove their shoes going through Security at departure. Given that the latest attempt (Detroit on Christmas Day) involved exploding nether garments, one may well ask if that might be next? We always seem to be defending against the last threat, rather than anticipating the next one!Depending on where in the US you are going, the weather you've been having over there might serve as a good preparation. I shoveled 12 of global warming in the past couple of days here in the Midwest!

Hi there, yes I often find we get so carried away with our derises for fast service, we forget how to enjoy life at a slower pace. Notable time for me was getting on an 8 hour train journey in bangkok, couldn't listen to my ipod as there was loud thai music playing. At first I felt so bored and restless but soon I began enjoying the rhythm of the train, the scenery and even the music!But if I can read I do, anywhere they let me! )Kathy
