Yeah - I heard about the bribe thing - but I never really experienced it while I was there. And as Daniel says, go to the former FSU; it is cheap travel and I promise you the best of times. Especially you Aussie!

Dameon - The reason they ask a man for money is that they want bribe, most of the time, & that goes for the ladies too but the fact remains that no one should send money & the best is to go there & as Dameon says, you will have a time that is hard to forget. Good luck to all

Daniel - Just going by my experience at Chisinau Airport. They even asked me how much money I had on me when I took a side trip to Romania. Guys - do not send money to any of these chicks. Just get on a plane and visit these countries yourself. I almost guarantee a great time for all. And the real women in Moldova are spectacular. I cannot wait to go back!

I understand that she is Moldovan & Dameon, if she has a invite & ticket, she can travel without money because she can show that she was sent the ticket as all sent tickets must be picked up at the airport & yes they can get a refund less admin cost which is around the 25% mark.
Be ready guys for a lot more scammers from Moldova who are not Moldovans because the Russian & Ukrainian are getting too popular as scammers so they are moving to work on us from Moldova, I have bee there many times & even lived there for a short time so any question is welcomed. Good luck

Is she Romanian or Moldavian? At the airport in Chisinau airport; they do ask you how much money you have before you travel. I am confused here about the air tickets. She was able to exchange them or get a monetary refund? Make sure you report this to all the necessary authorities.
