I sent £350 by Western Union which she picked up. Then she wanted another £8000 which of course I didn't send. The correspondence lasted around five months. She sent me 67 photos. It started June 2008 and finished October 2008. These Ghanaians are very patient, much more so than the Russians. I am usually very careful with money. However, unlike Russians, these Ghanaians employ instant-messenging (usually Yahoo) almost on a daily basis, sometimes up to two hours every day four or five times a week. It is easy for them to do this with British people because they are in the same time-zone. What chance did I have? Instant-messenging can be dangerous. These Ghanaians are also very adept at gauging the mental state of the victim, partly because unlike the Russians, they are native English-speakers. My advice is have nothing to do with West Africa, the place reeks of corruption. Also Ghanaians/Nigerians usually start off by saying they are from a country other than Ghana or Nigeria because they know that is an immediate turn-off. Mine said she was from Dublin In Ireland and had got herself stranded in Ghana.
