# Name:      Jane Utika

# E-mail:     jane_ukita@yahoo.com

# Address:  Benin

# Seen at:   My Foriegn Bride

# Dangerous: 27%

# Scam scenarios:   ask for money

# Details: I was in contact with "Jane"for about 1 month through many chat sessions and also 41 emails. We discussed many things about our lives. I told her about my life as a single dad, and the challenges that I faced. She was very kind in her words and supportive of the struggles I faced. rnrnShe claimed to be a chef working at a resort. She also had a story of hardship having lost her fiance to a horrific car crash. She claimed to be living in Benin, and if I remember correctly her parents were farmers in Zimbabwe, with her dad being black and her mom white from New Zealand. rnrnAfter gaining an emotional conection with Jane I was suddenly hit with an incredible story of a late night ride in a taki that was car jacked by men wielding "big" guns. The driver according to her story was shot. She claimed in her story to have been carrying a large sum ( over $2,000)of money her boss had entrusted her with in order to buy kitchen equipment with the next day. She told me that she was being forced to pay back the money, and was in a desperate situation. She had gotten together a lot of the money but was short, and needed my help. When I refused she became angry at me, that I could not help her. She had even phoned me at my home number with her pleas. rnrnAlthough feeling confused about her, because at the time Id really been lead to believe that she was real, I ceased communications with her following a couple more emails and chats.rnrn

Jane's last email to me:

"Hello David,l am very sorry l never got to write u
earlier.l miss u and l do understand what u are going
through and l am not happy about it but there is
nothing l can do becos l want a man that will be
flexible with decision so that when we get together
and have issues that are very important to u and l,we
would give each other the chance to reason
together. But with ur strong stand that u can not help
me based on ur principle and of evil people u meet on
line, that means u even don't trust me not to take of
care or even have a touch for some one u calm to love
and also want to speed ur life with. That is hard for
me to understand.l hope to hear from u soonest and lf
u don't,say me well to ur kids."

I reported the incedent to"My Foriegn Bride" and they subsequently "closed" her profile. When I chatted online with Jane next, she informed me that she had lost interest in the site, because of what happened with me and had "closed" her profile. I made no mention of reporting the incident or that I already knew her profile was closed and why.

Jane was unlike some of the other scam attepts that I'd encountered, in that she was much more patient ( spent much more time with me) She also did not come on so strong but rather, spoked very kindly to me and allowed me to develope "feelings" rather than falling in "love" with me after few chats.
