# Scam scenarios: money for VISA and passport
# Details: Kristina was very interested in me from the beginning, even though I gave her no reason to be interested. I said very little in my emails, and then in Kristinas fourth email, she wants to visit me in the USA, and she claims she has gone to an embassy and found out that she can get a visa for one month, and she has also found out that she can get an international passport in one week for $155. She also says that she will have to travel to Kiev to get the visa. In addition to the fact that I gave her no reason to have much of an interest in me, her facts were wrong, as even an expedited passport will take her a minimum of 1 month to get and cost no more than $100, according to my American friend in Ukraine, and also it is very unlikely that she would be able to get a travel visa for the US, and as she is 28 and not a student, the only type of visa she is probably eligible for is a fiancee visa, and the man would have to visit her in Ukraine first and then file for the visa in the US, which would take over 6 months from the time he would apply. She had no money for the passport and obviously no money for a visa or airfare. She did not want me to visit her in Ukraine, and she would not give me her telephone number. I told her a number of times, I would have to get to know her better before we could meet, and after I made it clear that I would never send money to someone that I did not know, she stopped writing.
