I didn't start traveling to Eastern Europe until 2005. Didn't really need to considering the majority of the Eastern European immigration comes to NYC. Been to almost all E.E. countries including Moldova. Have not been to Russia yet. Certainly Kiev is a prime vacation spot for any single man, but wait until the warmer weather hits. Kishinev was my favorite. My friend Wayne here used to say, you don't want to get scammed, don't go to your wallet.And if you do travel there, make all your own arrangements - these are not backwards countries. They all have nice hotels and reasonable car service. Word of advice for those who do travel - if you are a middle-aged balding over weight man who thinks some girl will fall for you because you are American, think again. E.E. and Russian women have fairly high stnadards when it comes to foreign men. They can get a drunken pig anytime they want in their own country.

Someone asked how old I am. Well I'll say this. I've been travelling off and on to the FSU since 1994. In that time I've had probably over 50 different sex partners. (My number is quite low. I know guys who had had hundreds of girls. I am more picky.) Some of the most beautiful girls from the former Sovient republics - Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the list goes on. I would not say that one country is better for girls over another. Each one has their share of beauties. The reason why most Americans go to Ukraine nowadays is it's the easiest route - no visa required. But in some of those other countries that require a visa it can sometimes be a better deal for a single guy because there are less tourists passing through. Still there are some good pickins in Ukraine. It's a big country but if you go there try to get off the beat n path and get to some of the smaller towns as you might find some better girls there. The big cities are full of gold-diggers / professional daters.

Why do I have to show empathy? What they need is a good brow-beating or kick in the pants so they don't repeat the same mistake twice and so that others can be warned. You're wrong that all Ukrainian men treat their women like shit. Many of them are hard working and decent. I know many of them that have well paying jobs for Ukraine or their own businesses. It's only a small percent that are alcoholics and most women with any sense avoid them anyway. It's like any other country in that regard.

Dameon - I've lived in various parts of Eastern Europe - Moscow, Kiev, St. Petersburg. There are beautiful women there but they are not all dying to get out and wanting to meet foreigners. Only a small segment of the single female population is interested in this and it's very small. One thing I noticed is when I dated a beautiful girl there the dirty looks I would get from the locals. They don't like us dating or having relations with their women. Because it kind of puts their country down as a place where a foreigner can go to get easy women. As to these scams, yes they're easy to spot and they usually involve travel. Most of it is due to the laziness of the victim and his unwillingness to travel to her country. Scammers prey on this.

I first came to this site in 2005 after my first scam attempt. I found it all so ridiculous and easily read through. To this day I still receive scam attempts but I just don't post them anymore. Sadly, most men do not think about researching anything until after something bad has happened to them. I think in all my years, I have only seen 2 ocassions where someone found this site before it was too late for them. Sadly, I don't know that we really have helped too many people here. And it is somewhat disappointing that in the 2nd decade of the 21st century, men are being just as stupid as they have always been, even with all this technology at their fingertips.

Scams are very simple to read through. A 5 year old would understand. Unfortunately, middle-aged men cannot get past their silly false egos. Young, beautiful Russian & Ukrainian women are not going to drop their life and fall in love with some fat-balding 50 year old who they never met and who lives in the middle of nowhere America or Europe. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev and Odessa have everything that we have. There are more millionaires in Moscow then there are in NYC. If these men who are scammed would just stop and think for a moment and let common sense enter the picture, this romance scamming would end. Unfortunately, some old men cannot help thinking that some chick who looks like she walked out of a Victoria Secrets catalogue is actually falling in love with them via e-mail. It is kind of stupid. A fool is truly parted from his money if he is blind to stark reality.

Tom, The latest news in today's headlines is, the authorities say that the two Boston marathon terrorists, were on there way to New York to detonate 5 more bombs at Time Square, before their plan was foiled! It is sickening to know that, those radical Moslems want to take innocent lives from all walks!
