Split-Pea Tongue SoupI don't use recipes, as you shuold be able to tell by the following recipe:DAY ONEone adult bovine tonguewater for boilingyummy saltwhole-green peas or split peas, 1 pound or thereabouts more or less; you might have to order whole peas, but unlike split peas, you can soak them and begin the germination process and get all the benefits of that. Split peas just get mushy. But they work just fine.marrow bone(s)Boil the tongue for three hours in salted water.Remove the tongue & peel it while hot (ouch! ouch! ouch!) because it's impossible to peel a cooled tongueSAVE THE WATER!Eat some of the tongue for dinner. I really have some textural issues here, but the taste is delicious. Put the rest of the tongue in the fridge, because you make the soup on the 2nd day.Soak the peas before you go to bed.DAY TWOBoil the peas in the tongue water the morning. Add the marrow bone(s). Turn them to low. If you have a crock pot, you might use that.Add other stuff:Turmeric (helps make legumes more digestible)Bay leaf (adds a flavor that I cannot detect but I believe it exists)GarlicPepperMore saltAnything you think would be goodCook a long time. Many hours. Make sure there is enough water. You can start mushing up the peas when they get soft. It shuold seem real watery. You'll be surprised how much water peas absorb.A suitable amount of time before dinner, slice up the remaining tongue into small pieces and add it.Maybe you wanna add some fresh veggies. Celery? Broccoli?Pea soup gets thicker & thicker the longer it hangs out. It's kinda miraculous that way. After about a week you can use it to plaster the walls, but it still tastes good:Peas porridge hotpeas porridge coldpeas porridge in the pot nine days old.Some like it hot,some like it cold,some like it in the pot, nine days old.

You're right James, The US can't control the world. Just like the CAN-SPAM Act, that's not henlpig with all the spam coming out of other countries. In fact, the US is still the largest source of e-mail spam. [ sources: | | ] It doesn't look like the CAN-SPAM Act is very effective even here in the US so I don't expect these guidelines will do much in the way of actually cleaning up anything.As far as things like travel agents promoting vacations I believe they don't have to actually visit the place, they just need to declare they're being compensated in some way by recommending certain places and services. The actually trying things' was my proposal and, as of yet, the Government isn't accepting my consultations
