I just have been searching google again, but this time I typed in Head of International Crime Division of Interpol in Russia.....There I came up with a few dating sites(www.1st-international.com and www.natashaclub.com and www.online-dating-ukraine.com)...I like the last the best but the others are also good......But as far as that guy, he wasn't listed but there was a guy Timur Lakhonin, who was listed as the head.......Go to the MOI/PRESS SERVICE/INTERVIEW.....Thats all I could find......I think I'm gonna check out the Ukrainian site some more, It's loaded with georgeous ladies!!!!!!

According to Vladimir Basov, Head of International Crime Division of Interpol in Russia, in 2006 Russia-based marriage and dating scams cost their international victims overall 15 million Euro. He announced this Tuesday on a press-conference in Moscow. We remind our clients to never send any money to persons you have not met in person and call us if you see anything suspicious. Regrettably, Internet scams are growing, getting more sofisticated and widespread, making Internet less safe for everybody. Especially those free or close to free large dating sites are ridden with scammers, because those sites do not have any resources or motivation to perform any kind of checking.

I found this in the Moscow Times along with Waynes post. Foreigners Duped Out of Millions The Moscow Times Russian hackers have stolen nearly $66 million from foreigners' accounts this year, Vladimir Basov, an organized crime expert with the country's Interpol bureau, said Tuesday at a news conference in Moscow. That figure reflects only those cases that are known of, Basov said, Interfax reported. "In reality, the sums coming into Russia are much bigger," he said.

Comment from Roamer

They probably made a hell of a lot more than 15 million euros....I think that he came up with that amount from just the complaints....Just think about all of the ones who never filed a report, because they were too ashamed!!!I'm going to see if I can come up with his addresses to post here.....I feel that it would be of utmost importance to all here......

Good information Wayne, doesn't this make you sick to hear this and how easy it is for these criminals to make money and unfortunately their is going to be a lot more victims.Hopely now Interpol will step in and close down these operations. The only way they will investigate is when they recieve the complaints and have proof of the scam.So hopely this Vladimir will have a special task force to go after these criminals. Its nice to know they are taking this more serious and I believe these dating sites will have to do more or have them shut down.To tell you the truth I think they are worse then the scammers themself.

41 out and going to be in the 30s tomorrow.....Hey Forrest, taking a crap is refreshing too!!!I'd rather sh*t than freeze....But that's just me.....About yahoo, you have to write to their headquarters...Everyone gets those automated replies, or so I have heard.......

Comment from Forrest

Hell, Dameon, you need the cold air so you can appreciate the hot and humid summers that much more. 12 below zero this morning. Very refreshing. On to other matters.....I am making no progress with Yahoo regarding scammers using Yahoo e-mail addresses. I think Yahoo is using an automated program to reply to my letters to them. The program must be confusing the word "scammer" with "spammer" because all their replies to me deal with how to block spam e-mails.They have not addressed the issue of scammers using Yahoo e-mail accounts.

Comment from Dameon

Looks like a new face to me. It's f'n frigid in NYC. Instead of building a fence on our southern borders between TX and Mexico, I think we should listen to Lewis Black and build a 3 mile high wall on our northern borders just to keep this Canadian cold out of here :-)
