So you have been in Norway recently too? To all other readers - note the level of the danger of this scammer as assigned by the site administrator. It is interesting that these scammers get their pimp, or boyfriend, or maybe even they post a commment themselves to try to deflect the discussion away from the central issue - this lady accepted 1000 Euro to fly to Norway - and she did not. And she has not returned the money. So sorry big g, or whomever you are, she is a scammer. She got away with it once, hopefully she will never be able to do so again.

It is very easy to go to Romania. Thousands of ladies are there most are very beautiful and more times than not they speak enough english. If this one is a scammer you had the misfortune to get hooked up with her. There are many of these Romanian women who are genuine. I know I am married to one whom I met on the internet. She never aked for any money. However it's obvious after you visit there that things are fairly sparse as far as money in comparison to North America and Western Europe. I would say rather than doing the entire internet thing...meet on the net...go there and see for yourself...If nothing else you will see one of the most beautiful places on earth. Good Luck!

Well thought Roamer old buddy [here have a beer on me]. You are right when do you know for sure, and in a lifetime there are no gaurantees. Now I think about it, I was married to a woman for almost 20 years and found out too late that I never really knew her. I still think it would be cool to find out if sending money has EVER helped bring the girl of your dreams to your side. And I guess the point that really is scorching my ass is that with internet dating even if you follow all the rules, you still have a really good chance of getting taken to the cleaners. Yes Roamerski, the girl across the street can do the same thing to you, but the worst that can happen is that you are out a few bucks spent on dinners and entertainment, and of course the standard hurt feelings. However when you invest time and money to visit a girl halfway around the world it is an entirely different ballgame. Now we are talking some serious money, and you would not go to all that trouble if you were not totally in love with the lady, so I think the internet girls can cause a bigger heartache than the one across town. But you right we are looking for something out of our dreams, and we just may think a little to easily that the knock-out 25 year old really does love older men and she really does think I am the one to rescue her from her horrible fate in mother Russia. I just wish there was a formula or something that would help us to figure out which ones are really serious gems and which ones are just gold diggers. Heck look at what Pia has told us, we can't even agree on the rules, let alone figure out which girls are serious. Just a very short comment on James remark....the showing money to the border is not a scam... i am a romanian woman who traveled a bit... even to leave Romania and go visit turkey , you need to show you have money...as a some sort of assurment for them that you won't make it in Istanbul on the best paid street.. if you get my point...so the logic is simple...if you need to show that you DO have money for traveling in Eastern Europe, what makes you think the USA custom officers would let you in when you can't prove you at least have money to pay for you'r hotel?
I'm sorry if i sound like i am on her side.. i'm on nobody's side but mine...but i have seen this mistake offten around here..indeed is not a law (or i don't think there is) that says u need this amount to prove that you really travel and don't go for the black labour market...but the truth is you ain't gonna get in the desired country as a tourist if you can't prove you'r a tourist.

Really sucks when you think you have done everything right, even to the point of paying the price to visit the girl on her own home turf, then still get taken to the cleaners. I know how T feels, because I went through exactly the same senerio. I don't know how we can prevent this type of scam, because you get to the point where you know the girl personally and come to trust her, then she sucks the money out of you for as long as possible. Even the reasons for needing the money become plausible because why would this girl who loves you ever tell you a lie, damn it really sucks. And like Mike says she most likely is a revolving door and has pulled this scam many times. Just as an after thought I would sure like to know if anyone ever sent money and had the girl show up as she promises to, surely at least one or two must mean what they say. Hi Dameon, I know this guy, and it was my suggestion that he post here. In all fairness to him, he really did go to Romania and meet this chick. The scam came after she was his 'girlfriend' as the result of their time together. Unfortunately he did not know that 1000 Euro to show customs was a totally bogus claim.
