Second to Jess. This one is patient...and if your really a loser, a decent email buddy. She did ask me for money, so it's only a matter of time. Think twice about doing something you know is stupid. That last "anon" writes quite similar to "Lena," if you ask me.

Yeah Anon - then go marry her and get her offline.

I talked to this woman. I wrote to this woman. But she did not ask me money. We with this woman good friends. If who that has taken offence on same. Not everyone should blame that.

They will not do anything except note the person's name as a scammer. Then if the name appears again, they will warn the sender. At least, that is what I read here a few times.

Embassies - yes. Western Union - I'm yet to hear that they will or can do anything.

Ouch, you got hit big time! BTW guys, I would not totally say do not fly them here. If they are serious, in some cases it may be better for them to see the USA and what they are getting into. Thing is, if they are serious, they need a little patience. There are ways to arrange airfare, and then you send them a boarding pass only. That way, no show, you get a refund. A friend of mine did that, and it worked out great for him, and his now wife. Also, the airfare is less expensive if it is round trip from Russia to the USA. We get gauged a little bit going that way.

Sorry to hear this. Make sure you file reports with Western Union, your countries embassy and Russia. I guess we cannot say it enough - DO NOT SEND MONEY TO ANYONE THAT YOU MET ON THE INTERNET!
