# Details: I met this scammer on a dating site called match.com. The scammer used stolen pictures of an American pornstar (Melissa Midwest) and claimed she lived in Saskatoon but was born in Winnipeg. We began e-mailing each other on hotmail shortly aferwards. This was a romance scam and an airfare scam because she wanted money so she could fly home to Canada from Greece to start a relationship together.

# Date: 2014-04-08

This scammer wanted me to send money to Greece using Moneygram and Western Union. Used the name Lauren Ella Dern and we exchanged e-mails for about two months and only about two weeks after we started contact she told me she loved me and wanted money to fly back from Greece to Canada where she was working. I got plenty of money requests and excuses excuses from this scammer such as paying for new plane tickets, duty fees, basic travel allowances, dumerage charges, etc. In the end I lost more than $25,000 to this scammer and I found out she was scamming me when another man contacted me via Facebook messenger and told me he had also been scammed by the same person. I stopped sending the scammer money and broke off all contact with the scammer by telling them I didn' want contact with them ever again.
