# Details: I met this girl on zoosk.com, she immediately wanted to go to email and Yahoo. So we started talking through email and everything seemed fine. Her grammar errors were minimal so I paid no attention to it, except she used "am" and not "I am". The emails seemed legit he even send me one asking questions about me, nothing to personal. So I sent her an email with the same questions and she answered each one. About a month later she asked for $ 155 dollars so she can get food. I reluctantly gave it to her. We continue talking and about two weeks later she asks for 200 dollars for text books. When we first met she said she was in Lagos, Nigeria at the university of Lagos talking a degree class in sub-saharan african culture. She said she was orginally from Los Angeles, California, but resided in new Britain, Connecticut, a town I can get to within in 15 minutes. After I sent the 200 I began accusing her of being a scammer. She didnt swear at me or yell any profanities and nothing in a foreign lanquage. She seemed to be very calm about it and explained to me she wasnt a scammer. So i began my own investigation. I asked her where in new Britain she lived. She gave me a real address, I went to that address but didt see anything about her there. She gave me a real connecticut cell phone number. I dialed it and an old man picked up, not afican or anything, just a regular sounding man. So I asked her some very personal questions, even ones in regard to her sex life. She answered without any hesitation. I asked her questions pertaining to the area here and she answered them in quick succession. So I continued to accuse her and she gave me a phone number of her cousin named Miguel Pagan, she also gave the number of her lawyer which I was having trouble looking up. I was able to get this number verified and it resided in the new britain area. So I call the man and he stated that she was indeed real and was in school in Nigeria. He sounded legit so I let that pass, I am now wondering if I stumbled on an international Dating scam. So I took my time with her to see if any other red flags popped up. She said recently that she booked her flight with British airways. She sent the confirmation email to my gmail account (which i made up) and I read it, I looked up the flight number and the ticket number it was all legit, her name was in there and everything and she was scheduled to arrive x-mas eve 2012. But then she asked for more money stating that she needed to take a blood test to board the plane. that right there I knew this is some sort of elaborate scam. I still wonder if it really is, but Im not chancing my money on it.
