# Details: Having not the confidence to ask women out on a date I decided that using internet dating sites might be one way of finding that special someone. I thought my prayers had been answered when I responded to a profile and we began by exchanging e-mail adresses! And from May 2011 to now we exchanged emails. I was smitten by the very way she seemed to be open and honest with me! After four months I had fallen in love with her and she still says she loves me! Everything was going well and I did not mind that she came from and lived in Russia! Our relationship seemed to be going well and we seemed to be connected. We started talking about how we would be able to meet up and she always said that her love did not know countries or borders and that she loved me and only me! I was her love knight or love prince! I did everything possible to put her off me, telling her about operations I had and that I was not handsome rich man! Still she said she loved me!Just over a week ago I decided to trust her as I had genuinely fallen in love with her! I decided to help with her airfair and visa! I did say that I was quite prepared to travel to Kamyshin to visit her! We had even talked about marraige because I wanted to know where I stood before making long-term commitments! Although she gave me her home adress I was dissuaded not to send letters to her because of corruption in the Russian mail service! Still I thought long and hard, and told myself that I loved Yuliya, so I should trust her! I then set up an account with Western Union and transferred a total of ВЈ1300 pounds. I was all excited and thought that finally even a sad pathetic creature like me could experience true love! I was even going to be relegated to a camp bed so that my girlfriend could have a nice comfy bed! On tuesday of this week (2nd August 2011) my heart sank to despair. Yuliya sent me an email which was one and half of A4 pages long! In it she explained that she was very strongly crying! She had told me that she made her way to airport and was stopped by customs who asked her how much money she had on her whe she said only 100 Euro, she was told she was not allowed throught customs unless she had 4500euro or equivalent on her! Apparently it is Russian law! She says she is still at airport! I now think I have been scammed! As I rang and emailed the airport of Moscow (Sheremetyevo) and told them the situation! To which I was told that there was no problems with money or customs and that she was lying! I have to say I had no help or proper advice from any british authority! The best help I got was from Moscow airport staff! To this day I still do not know if Yuliya is still at the airport (if she was at all)! What if my Yuliya is telling the truth, I feel really bad for not being able to help her but I have not got 4500 euro! Which is why I think she is scamming me! I really dont know who to believe anymore and am now starting to think that women only want rich men with film star looks!
