# Scam scenarios:   money for VISA, travel

# Details: Nastya A. was contacted through www.odessadarlings.com and she replied with halting, badly machine-translated English. She said she worked as a tax officer in Sergach, Russia. She claimed she was unable to speak English and therefore used a translator program.rnrnAfter a few weeks of normal dating-related correspondence it was suggested that Nastya A. would come to my home country. She immediately informed she had a vacation coming and she would instantly apply for visa. She refused all attempts to help and said she was going to travel "on her own terms".rnrnAfter some intermittend progress updates for a few weeks she wrote information about the flight she would be coming on and when she would return back to Russia. Then she told she was suddenly overextended and could not pay everything for the trip. She needed 260 euros to pay the travel agent.rnrnFirst the need for 260 euros was inferred by telling of the visa and ticket prices, then they were asked outright. After 2 refusals she accused me of being cheap and not caring about our relationship. Also, mysteriously, her English became very fluent when she was obviously agitated and forgot to use the machine translation.
