That Baby P you talk about in the UK is eerily similar to the case I mentioned here in the USA, the parents were about the same age, the little girl was a little older tho, they beat her to death for "not mindin her manners" supposedly. But you guys are right, we have some fucked up ways about all our "civilized" societies, I have 2 kids, started when we were 20, I was going to college, working full time, stayed up all night sometimes rocking or feeding a screaming baby, but it never once crossed my mind to harm my child no matter how annoying the screaming got. And usually I changed diaper, a feeding, or a good burbing would stop the cryin....just a little effort by the parent!!! I agree 100% about the mandatory "parental test" prior to having babies, some folks just shouldn't breed!!!!

yes guys, I forgot to say, that with 'Baby P' those HORRIFIC injuries, --were perpetrated over several months!! So just imagine what total agony that poor we mite was going through?! He must have thought that he had been born into hell! Social services were 'aware' of the family, but somehow the babies injuries were missed. I believe that the chief social worker has since been sacked.
And the parents, were shown on TV, low life ingrate morons, aged between 19-21.

Don't know if you 'non UK' guys have heard the news recently from UK about 'Baby P'. This is what the press named the baby that was murdered --by his parents!
In the postmortem they declared that he had 'numerous fractures, including ALL of his limbs, skull, and his spine had been broken in a few places.' Totally sickening to hear. In their defense the parents claimed 'that the baby would not stop crying'. Hmm, Da, I imagine that even the toughest adult would be reduced to rears with those injuries! Speaking of Karma, or Sanskara, (as they have been earning it!)- those parents will be awaiting a 'warm reception' when they enter the prison system. Normal hardened criminals take a very dim view of child molesters, or child murderers! So their 'Karma' will be starting early!
I seriously think that there should be 'exams' before people can have children and become parents. Lets face it, we have to take and pass a driving test before being allowed to drive a car. And being a parent is a far more serious responsibility!

Isn't it amazing how in all corners of the globe we all agree about the same things re criminals,punishment and arsehole judges who continually don't carry out the wishes of the public?Definitely money talks & bullshit walks.Fortunately here in Oz some states have an appeal mechanism,where if the Attorney General or Director of Public Prosecution feels that sentence is manifestly inadequate they can get the sentence reviewed by another court.So far all the appeals have been up held & sentences increased,then when the crim appeals it gets chucked out!

we get the same here ethan ... the more money you have, the more lenient they are on u. one of our comedians said yrs ago on a show when he was talking about judges, if your old, senile an poor .. they lock u up. if you're old, senile an rich, they make u a judge. pretty funny at the time but accurate in some cases. but the guidelines they have here are obscure for judges, they are told to treat crime leniently, but that includes violent crime. 'to keep the prison pop down' say the politicians. so judges, instead of the max penalty, which gets overruled by an appeal court, give out the shortest possible in most cases and hope the idiots in London wake up and change the damn law to what the people want to happen. the punishment fitting the crime. in the case of dating scammers, make em work the rest of their lives for free to pay back what they stole. child molesters/killers, let the parents have em for 10 mins. that should b enough to take em out of society.

It's a shitty situation for sure, but it's not always the politicians to blame. There are many cases I can think of here in the USA where judges were extremely lenient to the point of a highly pissed off public. The are "sentencing guidelines" that judges must follow when sentencing criminals, but sadly those guidelines are widely ranged in the US judicial system. A hanus, violent crime can have sentencing guidelines ranging from 5 years to life without parole, and there have been high-profile cases where "wealthy" murderers got only sentenced to only 5 years (the absolute minimum), but that same judge had previously given the maximum sentence to some everyday Joe where the case wasn't as clear cut. It seemed to me to be a prime example of a judge getting paid off. I know that's not exactly what we were talking about, but a good example I guess of a case where I feel like the judge committed a crime. Even if you couldn't prove that he was influenced/bribed to be lenient on the wealthy guy, I feel like he should be prosecuted under a charge of "public endangerment" or at least fired as a judge for putting society at risk.

that's a good idea for a law to be enacted in all countries, a law against trying to protect criminals. I mean, they have laws against harboring fugitives, right? If your momma robbed a bank and was a fugitive and the cops asked you if she was home and you said no and tried to protect her, wouldn't they arrest you for "obstruction of justice and harboring a fugitive"??? Likewise we should have laws for judges and lobbyists that try to be too lenient on criminals, if the general public doesn't feel that the criminals receive sentences that are proper for the crimes they comitted, send the liberal ass judge to jail for not doing his job, because he/she is the one that is putting society at risk by not handing down a sentence that would ultimately protect society.

Dameon,my nephew is in Melbourne at the moment having just finished his term of service in the SAS & last tour of duty in the Ghan. HE wants to rip the cunts heart out,rip his arms off & shove the wet ends up his arse!There has been a complete media ban because this slimy prick was going through a custody dispute.So anything that involves kids the Federal Court suppresses names etc.The scumbag is in protective custody in a secure psychiatric facility. I have been over that bridge many times and it is a long way down.Let's hope he dies of very un-natural causes in prison- and soon!

That's pretty sick to throw a child off a bridge. I read a story on the news here in the US the day before yesterday about a toddler being killed by her mom and dad, beat to death, and the prosecuters said that the whole time they were beating her, and right before the final death blow, the little girl was holding her arms out to her mom saying "I love you mommy" but they still killed her. And it was because she didn't say "please sir" to her dad. The parents were like 20-22 years old. I'm not normally a violent person, but 10 minutes alone with those 2 pathetic jackasses and they would be beaten to death too. I still get a knot in my stomach when I think about that story, it makes me feel sick.

Actually I did not support or vote for Obama. I voted for myself (write-in). That is always my favorite form of protesting our two party system and the knuckleheads these parties seem to give us every four years. I reported this lady to Stop Scammers in April 2008. The pictures are different, but her modus operandi was of a similar nature. She uses numerous email addresses & her pictures do vary but they all originate from Zelenodolsk
She was very patient, controlled & plausible with me in all of her letters.She read my letters & responded accordingly.
I guess if you are going to scam someone's money,you may as well go for the one big hit.Take awhile longer to create a false sense of security & then the wham, you have them hook line & sinker. I for one cannot believe that you got conned for $12,000 big ones.
