I have been using two new techniques to stop them quick. If they want to chat, ask them to go to an Internet cafe with a web cam so you can see them. If they are using stolen model pictures, they will make up a ton of excuses like there are none in their city. That is BS. Every Internet cafe has web cams. I also ask for a picture of them holding a local newspaper in their hands showing the city and date. So far I have found one lady in Russia that has agreed to do this. All of the rest, refuse or just disappear. If you use these you can shorten the time down to know if the lady is a scammer and really a fraud. When you tell them - hey I just want to see you and see if you match the pictures in your profile or the ones you were sent, the scammers shut down quickly.

Oksana Treegubchak from Lugansk has also used many of the same photos. (See entry #1748) It is possible that the two scammers are unconnected and that their use of Elisha's photos was coincidental. Oksana is now using different photos which I do not recognize as belonging to anyone as well known as Elisha. This comment entered on 23 Sept 2007.

Good for you Karl, I think that if men would put a tenth of their effort into trying to find out things on these scammers, it would slow down scamming immensely......Some guys just use their dicks instead of their brains...

Karl - You are a 100% right about what you are saying about these dating agencies.I'm glad you brought this up.I don't know if you ever came across someone named BP.He had the same concept about these dating agencies...and how they operated. Karl - A while back,I came across a article stating that most of these agencies went as far as placing phony profiles on there sites to lure men to join. Your right, they don't give a damn! They are only interested in one thing...and that is your Money.I'm still amazed how many people still fall for this.As long as these Bastard can still scam poeple for there money, this type of activity will never stop.Karl,I like to say,you are doing a extraordinary job with your research.Keep up the good work.

I too do not waste my time on the Nigerian scams. When they want to chat on IM after I have seen their phony pictures, I ask them to send me an e-mail. I use a free utility called IPNETINFO to check their IP address. When they say they are from the UK I catch then lying. There are several sending out scams from Israel and United Arab Emerites too. I am in contact with at least ten or twenty a day. I have an account on datemefree and mybeloved.net and get new ones almost every day. I am still going to keep posting here. I only lost $50. to one scammer but it makes me sad when I read that some guy sent $7000 to a picture. James, my name is Karl, not Kari. I check four different anti-scam sites every day. It pays to take a look at the names of each one because they use so many different pictures. We don't really have a way to stop these scammers because sites like datemefree and mybeloved.net have ignored my requests to have scammers removed. I have also sent requests to two other paid membership sites and they have also refused to remove the scammers even when I sent them links to the scams on the four scam sites. They apparently want to make money and don't care if they are scams. They see a beautiful picture and know that guys will look and send e-mails and pay the $24.95 a month to talk to them. I choose to do this because I don't like it that they have a million dollar industry going because we are so stupid to think that these young beautiful ladies want to be with us. The last one I was in contact with yesterday took pictures from a site of a 23 year old model in South Carolina. They used her name. I googled it and found the same picture I was sent. When I told this person that they were doing something illegal and the model will not be too happy to learn that someone from Russia is using her stolen pictures, I was told to not jump to conclusions. So, we must all work together to try to stop this insanity. Do not send money to pictures.

Thank you for the compliment James.....At this moment I have 5 different ladies that I am in contact with....2 are from the FSU and the other 3 are from Africa....I have learned , not only from others, but from my own experience's that one of the best ways to find certain types of scammers is if they always want you to "IM" them....You as well as me know, that you can have multiple conversations at the same time when you IM...And if I was a scammer, I would be able to just sit there and just say things to everyone all night long, without any of the others having a clue as to what I was doing....When a woman wants me to IM them, I just never write them back......It's the ones that I have a running dialog with, that are worrisome to me.....You see, that means that they are cruel and calculating with their intention to prey upon you......Don't get me wrong, the ones that always want you to IM them are just as cold and calculating, but to me it's just too obvious, so I figure, screw you and go onto someone else.......I don't even waste time with the 419 scams, and I get multiple e-mails daily, that I e-mail to everyone else that makes a difference on this site.....I have found an ally with Gerold with those type of scammers......He is in Germany and works with other attourneys from all over the mid east and Asia and knows of one lady who investigates and prosecutes the 419 scammers...So I always make sure to forward those to him.....Almost daily I go to other dating sites and see how many scammers I can recognize and try to establish the safer dating sites and submit to the sites scammers that I discover for their removal from that site....I am now researching other avenues that the scammers use.....But I don't want to say on here what that is, but I know alot of scams are done that way and not only on the dating sites....If you want I'll give you my e-mail addy......

Comment from The Class Monitor

To me it's a waste of time sometimes.....I would rather do the research on the scammers and notify the Authorities as to all info that I uncover.....And I do find scammers, I just get others to post them, only if the scammers attempt to get money from another person...If you want, post me your e-mail address and I'll send you some of the ones that I am writing to right now.....You see, my wife doesn't mind me researching these scammers, but she has a hard time with me writing to them....She knows how romantic I can be with my letters and it makes her jeolous when I talk to other ladies the way I talk to her.....Just ask around on the way I try to "woo" the scammers.... And the word is spelled e x p o s u r e ......

Roamer - I notice you don't post any scammers,How come??

Comment from Karl

Thanks James, it is too bad that four other ones that I posted did not get put up. I posted one twice and got ignored. I may just go to another anti-scam site to where they will post scammers. I have learned one thing from all of this. 99% of the profiles on datemefree and mybeloved.net from Russia and the Ukraine are scams. It is the new cold war!!! Are we going to keep being stupid and send money to pictures?

Why was my comment removed... This is DEFINITELY Elisha Cuthbert.... An actress in Hollywood... Why pretend it is someone else??? She is on the show 24 in Season One and Two as Keifer Sutherland's daughter!!! Anyone that has watched the show will recognize her.... PLEASE do not remove a comment where FACT is being given, not an opinion...
