Guys ! Do not send any money to Girls in Cotounou, or anywhere else in Benin no matter what they promise you, and no matter what ID they provide. It's that simple, because you cannot trust a single girl in that area.

Hello,Russian lady!nice to have you back.Well Roamerstein,to answer your question. It is very simple,I'm here to help our fellow brothers and to give advice.I'm proud of who I am,and some people may not like me because of my color, and it does't bother me.I don't live in Nigeria and I don't have plans on moving there.I have friends living there and I go to visit them.Yes! you my consider us all brothers there, and I'm cool with that. But!If they are involved in criminal activity,I DON'T have respect for you,and I'm not alone on this one.I'm pretty sure most of you are familiar with the Nigeria scams and other fraud activity that happens here. And,I agree with what Russian Lady said in her first comment.I also believe, that some of these scams are done by black and white working together.Yes Mike! you might think that most scams coming out of Nigeria is done by Blacks.A lot is,but a lot is done by people who don't even live there. These criminals come in to the country,do their dirty business and than leave. This is a practice thay use here and all over the world. And,their is also a lot done by individuals who need money for survival.I know some of you won't agree with my comments, but that's cool.Everybody, might have different thoughts, but we all have the same idea,To stop scammers and to help out,so other people are aware whats going on before they fall victim.

Comment from Dameon

Men are not scammed because they have fallen in love. They are scammed because they are desperate for love (insecurity) and because their ego tells them that they do deserve a woman young enough to be their granddaughter (ego). Common sense disappears! When you combine a man's fear of dieing alone with pictures of a model who writes love letters; you have the makings of a very powerful Molotov Cocktail. I am not saying this about all men; but as we have all read far too many times before; a lot of them. - I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Russian Lady, I agree with you 100%....But there is an old saying, "Love Is Blind", And it gets proven every day......They say that theres a sucker born every minute, and if you don't believe it, just listen to all of the crybabies who were scammed......

Comment from Russian lady

Exactly, Mike! I would immediately think the same - why would a white model looking gal email me from some African country? This is simply unrealistic, and, according to the theory of probability, the chances are like 1 in a million, that a white model lives in poverty in Africa. But then, WHY do grown up men get caught on such a ridiculously looking scam? And if they do, why cry later? This is simply impossible for me to understand, and probably I never will.

Comment from Mike

I think there's a 99.9999% chance that the person behind the scam is black, Russian Lady. There's no need to explain away any racial profiling. The fact is that The vast majority of people in Nigeria are black. If I received scam letters from China that had pictures of Caucasian or Black models, I would be very suspicious. Why should it be any different when receiving scam letters from white women in Africa?

Comment from Russian lady

Gentlemen! I am probably naive, but pls explain to me: I have always thought that most of poor people in Africa are also of African origin. And the ones who are white - boors - we hear so in Russia - take the most important occupations and are rather well financially secured. So, my conclusion would be that the real person hiding behind a similar scam is... very different looking, right? Or could the real scammer be actually white and looking similar to the photos of the beautiful model they use? Sorry for my Q. and I do not mean to imply any racial preference. But I would love to understand the situation.

Thank you Dameon, for bringing up your comment on the Nigeria and what is happening.Yes the government is corrupt to a point!but its the rebels and other powerful leaders in the nation that is trying to take control.I have friends living there. So,they keep me inform.Yes,I heard stories of people been targeted, kidnapped, taken in for questioning or threaten. But!In most of these cases, the individual got to snoopy or did or say something that pissed the opposition off.Yes,its unfortunate this happens. But!This happens all over the world.Their is a lot of nice people living there, but my advice is,be careful if you are planning to go there. And as for those Nigerian fraud letters and scammers we hear a lot about Dameon! This has been going on for along time now.Even before the corruption. It is very common here and are run by some very good organize criminals and not done by the government. But yet, their seems to be people out there that still fall for these scamm.PLEASE! all new comers and people who are in contact with someone from Nigeria,DON'T!! be suckered in,or send MONEY!

Comment from Dameon

Everyone; please listen. All of West Africa has become a disaster due to corrupt governments. We all complain about our elected officials. I am telling you, they make Bush seem like a genius. My brother in-law spent two days in Nigeria on business. He had to hire bodyguards. he said it was two of the scariest days of his business life. Nigeria is the birthplace of the scam. If you send money to anyone there; don't blame anyone but yourself. I really am sorry for your loss, but you let your heart and c**k rule your brain. That is bad.

Comment from Mike

Some of these scammer stories that have been posted lately just leave me shaking my head. Are they for real? Why doesn't common sense kick in a little sooner? I am generally one not to kick a person when he's down, but sometimes one feels like stomping on these people who have lost thousands of dollars.

WOW that last statement from the ANON. has a very powerful message. If he knows what he is talking about, we should take the tip he gives us and never deal with anyone sending letters from these African countries. Don't even open the letters and just forget about any replies and you would have to be a complete fool to fall for any requests for money from these African countries. Thanks Anon. for the words of wisdom, and Koos I must agree that you only have yourself to blame, but Thanks for the posting.

Sorry to hear about your loss but you only have yourself to blame as anyone or anything from those parts of the world, are scams. I have been to Nigeria & Benin, live there for about four months for business, so I found out a lot about them, most of them sell their family to make a buck. Most certainly the person behind this picture is a guy regardless of you even talking to her. In those countries, they openly sell a book that is the guidance to scam. Just let this be a lesson & pls never send money, but countries like Nigeria & all the others next to them, I strongly recommend that no one should even go there, unless you are black or have close families. They kidnapped my Dutch partner on the way from airport to the hotel, he lived but got shot & cleaned up, still lucky to be alive. Good luck guys
